I liked this museum, which told the history of the indigenous people of Tenerife, the Guanches. The museum also told the whole history of Tenerife. You can also find some mummies from the time before the Spanish conquered the island and destroyed the Guanche culture.

A really nice building housing plenty of different things from the canaries.easy to get around .there are collection's of animals birds fish and various other items but the most fascinating was the mummies on show from thousands of years ago well worth a visit Geoff...More

The exhibits are amazing at this museum. The only issue we did have was the exhibit information was written only in spanish. There were english and other language fact sheets at the door of each room however, these do not engage children well.

And much more ! Spent a lovely morning in this museum. Lots of exhibits about the formation and history of the Canary Islands. Entrance is only 5€ and you get access to a audio description app.

I had an extremely enjoyable time viewing the natural history of the Canary Islands. The videos about volcanoes and the flora and fauna were fascinating but the Guanche exhibits were the highlight. A little more information in languages other than Spanish would have been appreciated....More
