I was staying in Airbnb on the south tip of the island but heard of the beautiful beach of the north and decided to take a day trip to Puerto De La Cruz and made it to this beach. Rented a beach chair and languished...More

The beach is with black sand, rather crowded but if you like to swim in the ocean and having lots of people around you will enjoy the place

This beach is different from what I have ever seen and it is so gorgeous because of it’s originality. Black sand, palm trees, flowers and El Teide - absolutely stunning. One of my favorite views in Tenerife!

We have just finished our third year visiting Tenerife this is our go to beach. There are actually 3 beaches one is very relaxed and a bit boring because there are not a lot of waves. The middle beach is very small and quite rocky...More

The beaches are black sand but the sea is really spectacular at times. It is very popular with surfers. There is a nice seating area just off the beach where you can enjoy the views

I like this beach, the nice walk from the village centre, not very far away. It's a volcanic black beach, from the lava, it's basaltic beach. You can't swim there very often because of the red flag but it's interesting to see. Cool!!!

Nice place to walk to, and there’s a sweet cafe at the top to enjoy the views and have an ice cream.

I have back problems so going down and up the hill a few times every day wasn't really an option for myself. But we took a cab every time we wanted to go around and it was incredibly cheap 3.5 - 6 euros the most we've paid... More

lidl's (9 Replies)
HI I'm staying in Puerto this month, close to Playa Jardin beach. How easy is it to get to lidl on the bus or if cheap enough taxi. If anyone has any info, would be grateful. Thankyou.

Lidl? The supermarket? I've not come across Lidl in PDLC and internet suggests nearest is in Santa Cruz. easy to get a bus but not sure why you would make the effort. Perhaps you could explain why you are enquiring about Lidl?

PDLC temp - weather November (2 Replies)
Hi, we have never been to PDLC in November and won't to know what to expect weather wise. We are usually on playa Jardin beach about 09:30 and stay until it gets too hot, usually around lunch time. We intend going SC and want to have breakfast outside about 08:00, will the sun be shining on PDLC by 08:00 and will it be warm enough for just a T shirt? My wife is concerned it will go dark early and be quite cool in the evening. Thanks, Keith.

Hi Keith Below is a link to sunrise/sunset times for each month in Puerto. Over the years we have found that yes you can sunbathe during the day between 10 AM 'til around 4/4.30 PM although we have found that some afternoons can get a bit of cloud now and again. We have also found that {at times} a light jacket or cardigan has been needed in the evenings but like everything else weather wise it is the luck of the draw as we have also had holiday there in November that has been shorts and...More
