Black sand beach. Big waves. Catches the eye when you walk by - that is all. For sunbathing / swimming it is another matter entirely. Plenty of cigarette butts, people feeding pigeons, unpleasant water entry - but I may be spoiled by some of the best among Baltic sea beaches.

Lots of sunbeds, very good facilities- free toilets, showers, changing areas. Less rough sea than the other beach. Further out from the centre but changing areas help. Black sand, very clean.

The beach itself is lovely and clean with the usual black sand of the region. However, if venturing to the bar for refreshments be careful. We have never had a problem before but on this holiday we ordered a bottle of wine and were charged €3 over the price on the menu. We refused to pay the extra, referring the... More

beach very nice, clean and with access to the toilet, sometimes was a problem with the entrance into the water because the stones caused slight discomfort ,although it is worth visiting this wonderful place.

Great black sand beach. Sun beds are priced at three euro per day. Restaurants and public toilets are available close at hand.

It is most of the time crowdy but still ok. We were actually more traveling than staying at one place therefore for the time I have been at this beach was ok.

We found the beach very clean and had toilet facilities and places to eat and drink. The sea was rough most of the time but you could swim in it if confident, there are life guards there keeping an eye on the swimmers and the coloured flags were there to inform you if swimming was safe or not.

We walked here from the other side of Puerto De La Cruz. It was a very nice walk along a promenade with lush vegetation and huge cactus plants. There are several black sand beaches here where you can hire a sun lounger and parasol
