Former fisherman's cottage now a small shop selling local Artisan wares and recycled items. Worth a look. On the walk into town from Playa Jardin, along Calle Mequinez.

Calle Mequinez is an interesting little street, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, murals either on the street or just off the street. La Ranilla has on sale local crafts, which regularly change. Opposite they have an art gallery. La Ranilla Espacio Artesano is a small tienda located in a traditional house, along Calle Mequinez. It showcases traditional Canarian designs and crafts,... More

Largely unspoiled, this part of town has some fine examples of the original Canarian houses. Good choice of restaurants around the small square off Calle Mequinez. There is a great craft shop of the same name and the area plays host to many markets throughout the year

Lovely old part still with some of the small fishing village type houses. Striking wall art and good little restaurants. Wanted to see the Tango entertainment offered in a restaurant but they were closed when we returned.
