We have walked this route many time but it was nice to see they have put new steps and painted the hand rails. From the Botanico hotel to the beach took about 40 mins and we always take a small bottle of water because it gets very hot when you are in the middle of the plantation. You follow the... More

This is easily the most beautiful beach of Tenerife. It has beautiful black sand and amazing waves to play in. There were signs indicating you couldn't swim there, but everyone was already in the water and it was so much fun. The beach feels a little secluded and is very beautiful. There is also a little snackbar on the beach.... More

This is realy a hidden gem in all sense of the word. It may not be suitable for the disabled, as it is quite a way down a slope and anyone in or pushing a wheel chair will find it very hard going. Which is a shame as it is a secluded beach with lovely views, very quite and is... More

It's bit tricky to find the great trail to the beach. It is well worth the about 90 minute walk from Purto (45 min one way) to this beach. I did not find the beach itself that great to bath at so mostly the walk itself worth the time. You get a great view of the coast as well as... More

Lovely beach out of the way with amble parking at 2 euro for the day. Highly recommend going but be advised the sea is very rough so paddling only. It may get better but from what ive read and seen it is not the best beach for small children. There is also a little shop/bar on the beach too.

Not so easy to find at your Garmin sat nav, we used Google Maps and searched for Bollullo. 2 km narrow street down to beach access is not easy to manage. Frequent meetings with other motorists mean that one of you have to reverse, sometimes quite a long way. Finally there, a guy ask for 2 € for parking. Leave... More

Walk from Puerto to the beach is gorgeous. You can feed the lizards with apple slices or bananas while walking. The spacious landscapes are so beautiful on the way. The beach appears almost unreal looking somewhere at the bottom. The waves are large in Playa Bollullo. The beach can not swim. So you can lie on a black sand, watching... More

This hidden beach is really awesome. You can walk there from Puerto/La Paz, but be prepared for some steep parts of the path. There is a fairly long stairway to access the beach. Gets your heart pumping on the way back up. Once you reach the beach you can enjoy clear water and dark fine grained sand. There is a... More

A lovely walk on a pleasant day. Through the banana fields and along the coast. You can make this a longer walk by looping up to the road and back to Puerta de la Cruz. Lots of stops for great photographs. There is a café on the beach but we don't often find it open.
