Great Hiking!

Easily accessible from Puerto de la Cruz via the excellent and cheap Titsa public bus services. Hiking and cycling trails were well-maintained and well-signed.

Bus from Puerto. Researched on internet. Got map from tourist info later. Walked up to casa las balcones. Visited, small charge to walk round, with audio guide, well worth the euro. Tourist place opposite, worth a visit, church, town hall and carpet making museum all worth half an hour. Must experience the story of the sand carpet for Corpus Christi,... More

The Orotava Valley stretches quite far and includes the historical village of La Orotava (where you will find La Casa del Balcones) and on up to Aguamansa where the walking and hiking trails are. We passed through the Orotava Valley on a tour but it was best when we took the bus up from Puerto de la Cruz. There's a... More

On a tour of the island we passed through Orotava valley and admired the panoramic views from the comfort of our coach. The vegetation is as luxuriant as in the Tropics with 2000 varieties of trees, bushes, flowers on the island according to our guide.

We took the bus from Puerto de la Cruz up to La Caldera. We enjoyed 21 beautiful kilometres of beautiful hiking. There are several hiking trails that you can choose from. We decided on Los Organos. Great forest path and if there aren't any clouds, you get to see El Teide. Just beautiful!

This is such a pretty place. The flowers and trees up in the north of the island far out wiegh the fact that it is a little cooler. Take a bus from Puerto de la Cruize to La Orotava. A quaint typical Spanish town on the hill side. Very historical with fabulous views. Well worth a visit.

Very nice area to visit. You have all your touristic things to do, Cafe's, Bar's, Restaurants and so on. But you also have beautiful nature, typical narrow and inclining serpertine Spanish roads. Typically it is colder in that area as the North side of the Island is greener and a bit cooler and cloudy. Puerto de la Cruz is really... More
