Was a nice few waterfalls but they werent all on even in june and wasnt kept in great condition! The cafe up top is nice, and reasonably priced- but get a seat close to the cafe to avoid HUNDREDS of lizards.

We came here primarily to attend the Sunday service, but spent time in the park and the Hotel Tigaiga. The road through the park from the town winds up hill through lush scenery. We had coffee in the Tigaiga and wandered around the public rooms - very full of Germans, the staff seemed to speak three languages (at least). The... More

Some nice water courses, but otherwise not a lot to make you want to struggle up teh hill, or spend much time.

We are frequent visitors to PDLC and probably visit every other time, we are in town. If you've never been, you are in for a treat. Time it to escape the coach parties if you prefer it less busy. Lots to see, too much sometimes. The new exhibitions are stunning and the various animals and birds seem to thrive. Plenty... More

The Hotel Taoro, recently a sumptuous casino, is now closed to the public. Two of the four hotels in the park have closed down. One or two streets have gone steeply downmarket. However, it is still a good place to walk around, the Anglican Church and the British Library are within the complex, the latter with a very pretty garden.... More

Unusual for Puerto de la cruz. This park is quite flat and large. Very peaceful to walk through and around as well. The steps leading up here are built to form small water ponds with a large waterfall at the top. It is also nice to walk around the circular roadway circling the park. You will pass the Victorian Anglican... More

Walked from the bottom to the top, a lot of steps and not much to see for the hard work, the aquatic garden at the top is peaceful but plain and there is a fee of 4 euro for entry to the aquatic garden

Fortunately our hotel was situated between the water gardens and the main park so we were able to enjoy both aspects every day. A picturesque 10 minute stroll down the steps brought us into the main town and if we wanted a longer walk into town we were able to take the lovely stroll through the main park and surrounding...
