- Williehell2Cardiff, United Kingdom20 contributionsIt’s a great ArboretumIt’s a 1788 creation covering 20,000 sq metres so has some impressive trees and bushes. There are trees from all over the world and the leaflet lists some 39 specimens of special interest but there are far more than that. The Lord Howe Fig or Banyan (from an Island between Australia and New Zealand) is worth the admission fee alone ( only €3) It is going to take you over an hour to peruse the exhibits and if you enjoy reading about what you’re looking at nearer two hours.Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 11, 2020
- Steve_of_N21London, United Kingdom2,244 contributionsSmall, but beautifully put together.I previously visited this small botanical garden some 17 years ago when I believe it was free to enter and didn’t attract the visitor numbers it does today and I remember it being one of the more impressive botanical gardens I have been to. Well 17 years later you may now have to pay to enter ( the princely sum of 3 euros and cash only by the way), but not a lot else has changed. The square area enclosed by the stone garden walls are a collection of different planted areas packed with all manor of botanical plants. There is a very impressive collection of ferns throughout the garden and the centrepiece strangler Fig Tree is truly impressive. I will concur with others that at this time of year there is not a great deal of colour outside of green as most plants are not in bloom, but there are enough to provide interest if you hunt them out. And yes the ponds with their collection of Water Lilly’s may be looking worse for wear at this time of year , but the other garden areas more than make up for this. One thing that is impressive is the amount of signage around the garden and nearly every plant and Tree has a name plaque, and the more notable exhibits now sport bar code signs so that those who have a smartphone can obtain further information if interested. Happy to report still one of the best Botanical gardens I have visited.Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 13, 2020
- EgbertHertsSt. Albans, United Kingdom208 contributionsExtensive display of plants and trees.Visited both the Botanical Gardens and the Sitio Litre. The respective charges per person was €3 and €4.75. The Botanical Gardens are more extensive and each plant and tree is labelled. There are a number of interesting specimens from all over the world and you can spend an hour or so walking round the paths. To spend longer, you would need a keen interest in botany. The Sitio Litre gardens are not as extensive but have more character. There are colourful plants and flowers as well as a pond with coi carp and a cage of love birds. One of the features is the orchid area. At the end of the garden there is a good café. Again, an hour would be sufficient.Visited January 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten January 5, 2020
- Hikkihils106 contributionsA haven of peace with plenty of shade.A huge variety of plants from all over the world were brought here by intrepid explorers.Flowers, fruits, leaves - an amazing tree that grows its own buttress supports to enable it to spread even more. This is a real haven from the constant sunshine, but very sadly, there is no cafe here. Only €3 to go in, we visited a couple of times during the week, and saw different things each time.Visited February 2020Written February 14, 2020

- Ian PYork, United Kingdom321 contributionsGreat garden, well labelled, needs some refreshmentsWe always visit Botanic Gardens at the places we visit. Some disappoint, some delight. This one was in the delightful category. It is set out as a formal garden with rectangular beds around a central pond and fountain. The plants are well cared for and each is labelled. Some of them were planted in the 18th century and are by now huge. Others are up to date modern cultivars, for example some very big variegated Monsteras. I was particularly impressed with the tree ferns, varied selection and very large. The entrance fee of three euros and reductions for kids, students and pensioners is super value. I only wish there had been a small kiosk selling drinks and ice cream etc.Visited October 2021Traveled with familyWritten October 31, 2021

Lots of trees give it shade so great if, like me, you don’t like things too hot! Only cost €3 each to go in, guide leaflet in your language was useful and lots of exotic and weird looking plants and trees. - keefnjojoPlymouth, United Kingdom1,381 contributionsPleasant way to spend a few hoursWe visited here on an overcast day so that it would be cooler and we could enjoy the walk through the gardens, although it does offer lots of shade. Entrance fee is €6 each and you get a little map telling you about each section and the plants in it, but there are QR codes along the way to help you get more information about certain trees and plants. There is plenty to look at and if you are into your gardening and photography you can spend quite a lot of time here. Don't worry there are a few benches so you can just sit down and just enjoy the view and the peace and quiet. We did see a few people with picnics which we thought was a great idea. Just in case you need them there are public toilets available.Visited June 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten July 16, 2022
- dizzieannieCumnock, United Kingdom22 contributionsPleasant, informativeNice little trip out for a couple of hours. The water garden is a very calming place to sit and rest your legs. Great value at 3 euros entry, and the little train take you up the hill free if you don't want to walk. Service bus also just around corner from entrance. We visited both this and the Orchid gardens and to be honest preferred the Orchid Gardens, but still a pleasant experience.Visited November 2022Written November 6, 2022

We had the most amazing time admiring all the huge variety of trees and plantlife. It was designed before 1800 so it is on a large grid formation, easy to follow up and down and across. Most of the species are clearly labelled so it was so interesting to see where they originally came from. Not so many flowers at this time of year, but that didn't matter as the variety of palms etc was immense.
Definitely worth a visit if you are on Tenerife for a few days. We were staying on Playa de las Americas but had hired a car and did the easy car trip on 75 minutes.
The only shame is that there is no cafe there, but there are several cafes/restaurants opposite. We had a great salad and Spanish delicacies in the Pizzeria Europa opposite which was great value.
We would definitely go again.

A very pleasant botanical garden, but it's worth pointing out that this is an Acclimatisation Garden created originally in 1788 for tropical plants on their way to Spain. You will not find it full therefore of exotic blooms, but it is interesting nevertheless. It is only €3 to get in and although it is quite small it is well kept and shady, with some seating. It's uphill from Puerto de la Cruz, so we took the taxi there and walked back. A nice morning out for €10 for the two of us.

It was a 3€ per person entrance fee, the staff member behind the counter was quite rude and blunt. The plants and trees inside are really lovely, definitely a nice little picture spot. But the water in the ponds was just filthy, so much thick algae that you could barely even see the water. All the tulips in the water had died, there was even a little dead fish. If you’re looking for something to do to pass a little bit of time then come here but I wouldn’t make it a priority.

Ile kosztuje wejście do ogrodu?

Dalem plame.
Pozdrowienia !

Hi, we visited this garden twice in the afternoon, after lunch. It takes approx. two till three hours. It depend on how exactly you look at all the plants and enjoy the silence. We love it there.
