Good for watching the world go by

Interesting place just to have a coffee/beer and watch the world go by. Very busy from midday Friday and over the weekend, mainly locals.

I love this place.. i loved this place 21 years ago, and i still love it now. Plenty of places to eat, its the heart of the town. Great place for a relaxing drink yet still in the hussle and bussle of spanish life. If you love people watching then this is the place to do it.

Visited daily during our 10 day stay. Something for everyone . Plenty places to eat & drink. Downside African guys bothering you with there wears. But they disappear when you say no. At least they are trying to make a living !!

Very good food - interesting plaza full of life on a Saturday night. Many families with children playing on ship in square centre. Gentleman singer at edge of restaurant with good voice and repertoire. Would eat their again and the waiters were very attentive in a quiet way.

Ended up here every evening during our stay in Puerto de la Cruz. A whirl of restaurants, a supermarket and tourist shops that really comes to life at night. If you want loud music & flashing lights, go somewhere else, but if you like eating/drinking outside, friendly waiters and the sound of people enjoying each other's company....

If you are staying in Puerto, make your way here. There is a great range of restaurants and bars. Some have music. There is a small playground for children and an cream shop for your late evening sugar fix. The square also has a 24 hour pharmacy if you ever need anything. Just off the square in small side streets... More

We were recommended to go to Plaza Charco by a friend. We went on our first night here and we're really disappointed it seemed to just be a square with a few bars and restaurants around and a kids play park in the middle, nothing special. We ate in one of the restaurants but it was less than average... HOWEVER... More
