The 102 and 103 buses from Puerto del La Cruz bus station regularly run here and it's just over 4 euros per person. The trip takes under 40 mins. It's a beautiful old town with two main cobbled streets and lined with great shops ,...More

The historic centre of San Cristobal de la Laguna can get very busy with it being such a tourist attraction, however it I should not be missed. It is linked to Santa Cruz by bus and the very convenient Tram, Line 1 Santa Cruz-La Laguna...More

There was a street festival on and it was a Saturday when I went. The tram is so cheap at 1.35 each way and the bus was only 2.10 each way! The historic homes are so colourful and worth the journey. I’d highly recommend this...More

As per several tours on this cruise, the tour guides interest and attention was not focused on the customers. He could hardly walk and had one “sight” in mind, a local vendor. The historic district looked worth seeing but we did not have the chance.

... Which is very pedestrian-friendly. Lots of interesting old buildings and interesting little shops. Plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants too. Such a contrast to Santa Cruz. Loved it!

El Centro histórico is La Laguna's downtown. It has a colonial heritage and it's closed to the motor traffic. You can walk around the streets, shop in any of the shops or eat somewhere.

I made La Laguna my base for a week's holiday on Tenerife. It is a UNESCO heritage site because of the C16th to C18th century buildings all in wonderful condition and easily accessible on flat roads in a pedestrianised area. Museums, churches, cathedral each one...More

Many beautiful buildings, elegant streets, meeting local people, genuine cuisine, a stark contrast to resorts in the south of the island. Worth spending at least couple of hours wondering around or stopping over whenever the road takes you to this part of the island. Very...More

Our cruise ship stop was on a Sunday and we took a shore excursion. We saw other tours from different operators at some of our stops.
