Nice church

The church was very beautiful but small. Very good structure very planed. If your in town and öike cathadrals then you should go in and see all the nice statues.

We visited the cathedral between masses on a Sunday and although not outstanding from the outside compared with older cathedrals it is very lovely inside. The Madonna screen in gold and silver is outstanding and the Christmas scene at the altar is superb. The Windows paintings and carvings are beautiful. Well worth a visit in La Laguna.

This modern (20th Century) Cathedral is but one of many religious houses dotting the city, which was the capital of the Canaries for nearly 200 years until, gradually, Tenerife then Las Palmas assumed that mantle. This city, when founded, adopted the civic plan which became the exemplar for so many Spanish-founded cities in North and South America, with the square... More

Recently restored, it now features more natural lighting inside and thus its interior can be fully appreciated. Its facade is of a restrained architecture, a typical feature of the colonial style. It belongs to the Nivaria Diocese, (Nivaria being how Romans referred to Tenerife), the highest ecclesiastical authority on the island.

Santa Iglesia Cathedral is an impressive cathedral in La Laguna. We especially appreciated its architecture and the rehabilitation efforts.

AKA Our Lady of Los Remedios Cathedral; This is a typical very grand old cathedral with typically beautiful interior. We were lucky enough to walk into a wedding. We stayed at the back, while other tourist ignored the ceremony and walked to the front. Because this cathedral is so large and we entered to the side entrance, even with the... More

Beautiful church with lovely spacious and luminous vaulted ceiling with plenty of picturesque stained glass windows. Spectacular altarpieces, plenty of pillars, airy and not at all sinister.

Lovely cool calm Cathedral with new domed roof. Stained glass pretty simplistic. Lovely surroundings.

I'm sure once all the scaffolding and covers are removed this will will be a lovely cathedral. Unfortunately it is undergoing extensive renovations at the moment. Fortunately it is in the middle of a very charming, colourful little town which is a pleasure to walk around.

Very interesting cathedral with facade I haven't seen anywhere else. Unfortunately you can't visit it at present as it's being reconstructed. Quite a shame, but hopefully will open soon as most of my tourist guides recommended seeing it.
