Thrill seekers will love the slides at Aqualand Costa Adeje, one of the largest water parks on the island of Tenerife. Tsunami, Ciclones, and Gravity stand at over 60 feet high, while Rapids and Kikazes focus on speed. For the less adrenaline inclined, relax in the jacuzzi pool, take a tube down the lazy river, and squeeze in a little siesta on one of the many sunbeds in the park. There's also a dolphinarium that houses 12 bottlenose dolphins. Buy a fast pass to make the most of Aqualand, or get a two-park ticket and visit neighboring Jungle Park. – Tripadvisor

Avoid unless you intend to do the €100 pp dolphin experience
Honestly the dolphin encounter saved the day.. that was 5* experience! but without that sadly this park would be getting a 1* .. the parks in major need of renovation, the lazy river was fully closed and half dug up which I would expect to be explained on the website which it wasn’t! The ground is rough and very uncomfortable to walk on bare foot.. not usually one for reviews but this had to be done.. Siam park is miles ahead.. if I hadn’t already booked and paid for the dolphin encounter we would have left and gone back to Siam!

    Has potential but falls short…
The park clearly has potential, walking in and they have clearly thought about the theming and really stuck to it, however… We picked this park due to it advising they have heated pools, including a heated spa area. This added to the more child friendly rides advertised meant it seemed ideal for a 3 year old in January. However, all of the water areas were absolutely freezing. The wave pool was the warmest with the shallow toddler areas/“thermo” spa feeling like they could ice over at any time. The lazy river was shut and this wasn’t advertised anywhere until we got into the venue. The flooring was really uneven in parts. The brickwork was chipped leaving both the uneven elements but also stones/dust to walk through. Food wasn’t bad quality but a little overpriced. We got a similar meal at Loro Parque and paid nearly €15 less (for slightly more food I should add). Paying for sunbeds was an extra charge to consider. Dolphin show was good which helped keep it at 3 stars.

Don't bother save your money go somewhere else
It's quite pricey for how small it is. The water is so cold my child did not want to go in. You have to pay for everything inside like lockers and sunbeds it's a joke The dolphins should be in the ocean not a small pool they looked unhappy. The restaurant just warms up the food and give it to you like the pizza....

    Water absolutely freezing
Place seemed pretty gd. However we came during February half term. The water was unbelievably cold even though was about 25c. So much so our kids wouldn't get in. So we waisted nearly 100 euros as it was too cold to do anything even though the girls had wet suits on. Also felt food was very expensive. And you definitely need water shoes as the pavement is all broken and gritty round by the wave pool which states its heated but was also Freezing cold.

Other reviews saying 'tired and shabby' are unfair.
Having weighed up the pros and cons between Siam and Aqualand, we settled for this one. I absolutely love Siam and have had several fantastic adrenaline filled days out but with a 7 year old in tow this time feel we definitely made the right decision. We came prepared with pool shoes as read the ground is rough. Good tip as there are places where the path is needing maintenance and with the sun on the ground there were people hopping about saying it was hot. The only time I queued throughout the day was for a drink, whereas at Siam, I think most of the day would have been spent queuing, my son was up and down the kids flumes non stop and loved the 120cm height restriction slides he was allowed on. There is also a fantastic kids water adventure play area which he loved. With child tired out, I ran for a more adrenaline filled slide, I actually shocked myself but bouncing out of the ring half way down so was a bit scared coming down without it but the lifeguard at the end was so attentive even though I was fine, I can only assume good things if I had hurt myself! We got a locker for our purses and phones but don't really think it was needed as people were leaving belongings unattended and it all felt very safe. Toilet/changing facilities were all clean and in excellent order. We got a taxi from Costa Adeje for 4.75Euros and hopped on the free bus back. Didn't bother with the dolphin show, think it's an outdated practice now and it was lovely and quiet when it was on!

Freezing Cold Water. The Dolphin show keeps this place alive
Honestly if it wasn't for the dolphin show this park probably wouldn't get any customers. The water is absolutely freezing. Even the sea water on Fanabe beach is warmer than the water you get at this water park. My children we so cold that after 10 minutes they could not enjoy it and didn't want to go back into the water. So we ended up leaving for a few hours only to come back into the park at 3pm for the dolphin show. That was the best part. The dolphins were amazing and adorable. But the water. My god. Would it kill you guys to warm it up? Or is there no heating system? Or are you relying on the sun to try heat the water. Either way its not working. When you water is colder than the sea water something is up. My children were literally shivering. We tried the water at the beach part too and it's not any better. All in all we felt if the dolphin show was not there then we would have been furious to pay that kind of money just for my kids to dip in for 10 minutes in the icy water. Don't believe me. Just read other reviews. I made the mistake of not reading reviews before going as it was a last minute break. But when I was in the park I thought I would check reviews to see if I was the only one thinking the water was cold. And I was glad to see I wasn't alone. Cold water seems to be a regular complaint and they are not doing much about it. Go Siam park. There is a reason it is much busier and the water was indeed warmer. Not much warmer but not as icy cols and aqualand. When I tried to tell the lady on reception that my family wish to leave and come back later because the water is cold. She didn't look surprised or bothered.

We always visit here when in tenerife
A nice family day out. Every time we come to tenerife we take kids here for the day ( we dont stop too far away from it) the kids enjoy it, public tickets and changing facilities, regular shows to see, gift shop, food places to eat. It can get quite expensive, I think every visit we take our own sandwiches and bottled water but do end up buying ice creams and things from gift shop. Not too expensive to go for a family if 4 for the day. If there just before opens the queues are not too bad. Lots to do and see. Highly recommend if staying near the area

8/10 !! Pretty good water park
I read about Siam park and there was too many negative reviews for them not to be someway true. I am glad we chose aqualand. It has enough rides, queues are not overly crazy (mid july), however we did buy the fast pass, which is worth it, as the popular rides do have 10-15 min queues. yes food is expensive there, but its the same at every theme park you will ever visit, some people mention about bringing your own food??? where are you going to store it in a cool place? I did'nt bring the big cooler box on holidays!! unless you live out there and possess one!! A burger and chips with drink is €19, about €5 too much, but it was a large 75mil drink. usually you have to walk around in bare-feet to the rides, however the paths got extremely hot to the point it felt like walking on hot coals, wear swimming shoes, and take them off just as you are going on the ride, put them through the hand holders( you are not allowed to wear them on the slides).. as a 49 year old, i did find the countless walking back up the 80 steps to the main rides in the heat as very tiring, so i hired some sun beds and let the teenager off on his own for a bit.. dont forget high factor!! overall, shorter queues than siam park, and pretty safe..arrive on time to get the best value for time.. a little tip.. just after the main entrance where you pay to get in, the stall for the fast pass is just behind it, there will be a long queue, but what i didnt know , the fast pass's are also on sale where you get the lockers... much quicker!! go straight there

⚠️ DON'T GO ON THE RAPIDS ⚠️ I was on a dingy and got slammed on my backside many times on the way down. It was horrendous. We watched other people go down and they too had injuries. The back of my leg is badly bruised and swollen. I recommend taking your own food as it overpriced and undercooked.

    Family Day Out
Great day out, especially with little ones. There is so much to do for small children which is nice. Sun loungers good value at €2 each. Only disappointment was the food. Very expensive and we had to return our burgers as pink in the middle, but again they had no complaints to do this.

We booked tickets through a shop next to our hotel for €25 a head. Children over 10 are classed as adults. The after park was a 10 min walk from our hotel.
Lots of slides to choose from, suitable for all ages. Great for younger and older children. Lazy river was very lazy! Wave pool only had waves in the hour!
We rented beds for €2 each, Plenty of shade where we sat.
The queues were all small due to less capacity (covid). Our older kids managed to go on all the flumes during our visit. Someone did mention that they offer fast track passes for busier (normal times, for about €10).
We were advised to get there for 9.30am, they open at 10, to ensure we got in (they have a lower capacity of about 2500 at the moment). We queued (in the sun, no shade) and staff were managing this.
The dolphin show (3.30pm) was amazing (Included in the price) and presented in a conservation way. We paid €20 for a photo with the dolphins. There was a €100 euro option (this did not include swimming with them). I had tears in my eyes watching them. Masks must be worn in the dolphinarium, it was mostly shaded. Photos were available from 5pm at the gift shop.
We only purchased chips and a drink, it was typically expensive but chips were lovely as was the beer!
The floor is lava here and had grit and small stones in places- would recommend surf shoes or similar (you can buy them from the gift shop on the way in). We didn’t however! Sliders can be worn up to the slides and then put on wrists to come down the slides.
Lots of life guards about, looking after everyone.
A brilliant day out, enjoyed by all of our party of 14 people aged between 48-8!

We had paid online £118 for a family of 5 for the water park and zoo. When we told when we arrived that we had paid resident price which the website didn’t say. Then it was an extra £45. We found out we had to oh £5 for lockers, £2 for subbed and when we had some lunch - fries and a drink - that was another £8 each.... we went to the dolphin show which was not bad but lasted 15 mins. We then found out the zoo was not attached to the water park and we would have had to drive 10mins to get there which we were also not told about. The staff looked bored and didn’t really speak. The water slides were okay but not exactly worth it. Very poor value for money, lack of information about everything. We didn’t make it to the zoo so managed to get that refunded but felt the whole day was wasted.

We went here mid week end of January, so it was very very quiet. Our kids ( 7 & 10) had a good time, weather was beautiful, but the place is poor. They charge you €7 for a very small locker( you get €2 back) They try and make you have a photo with a parrot as you walk in. The floor area around the slides are falling apart and its painful to walk on due to pieces of block paving sticking in your feet. They charge you €2 for each sunbed you use. I couldn't believe it when the girl asked us for the money.( especially considering how quiet it was in there!) I had to walk all the way back to the lockers and try and scrape together €4.They dont give you a map & there are no signs or maps anywhere. The concrete steps to some rides are very steep even for an adult. By the small childrens flume slides there was builing work going on, the green netting was ripped and was completely open! it would of took a young child/toddler seconds to be in there with lorries and diggers, so so scary. Water was freezing! we are a hardy bunch and couldnt cope with how cold the water was. The lazy river was black, dirty and had cockroaches floating in it, no lifeguards watching it either. My daughter got stuck in it and the bridge's are too low, very nearly lost my head! Dophin show was good. But they're in a very small pool and i felt uneasy watching them perform, they shouldnt be there. Didn't visit the dophin museum (thats chargeable too) We took our own food & drink. We still made the most of our day trip, but we as a family can have fun in a muddy field in wales😊. My advice - pay the extra and go to siam park as that place is brilliant.

Despite reading the poor reviews, we went as a family of 3 (adult and 2 older teens) as not much else open at the moment. I honestly can say we had a great day. And we have been to Siam park last year, which whilst brilliant, was rammed to the rafters when we went.
So back to Aqualand - negatives:
Yes it does need some maintainance, some of the paving stones need replacing, it desperately needs a lick of paint in places.
There is only one food outlet open so at peak time it is busy. It is also expensive (34 quid for 3 meals with drinks) but there is a supermarket across the road, in hindsight we should have stocked up there before going in.
It’s 2 euros for the sunloungers.
It was a long wait for a taxi when we left.
No fighting for a sun lounger as it’s not that busy at the moment.
No long queues for rides as it’s not that busy. Went on many rides multiple times.
The food although expensive was actually alright, I had the half roast chicken and chips and a beer (12.95)
I had a more chilled out less frenetic day here than I did at Siam.
Kids had a great day, my eldest has also been to Siam and she enjoyed both parks the same.

We didn’t watch the dolphin show as my girls said they didn’t approve of dolphins in captivity.

Get food from the supermarket before you go in if you are on a budget.
Pre book a taxi
You need a token for the lockers (5 euros with a 2 euro deposit), get this from the shop before you walk down to the lockers and have to walk back up.
You need a mask to watch the dolphin show.

Where to start with this terrible water save you time reading, just go to Siam instead, then get the return for €20 ticket and go Siam again!

We are a family of 4, with 6 and 11 year old children. On the very first ride (green one) I got slammed into the bottom of the tube which almost rendered me unable to walk for the rest of the day (I'm a medium build, weight and size male). In fact everyone of us got injured on at least 1 ride. Talking to other people in the queues they had similar experiences! This is because they are poorly maintained with very little water flowing through them. In addition to this the life guards are terrible and more interested in joking with each other than doing their jobs. For example, you see people struggling for minutes trying to push off into the tubes as life guards just laugh and talk over the radio to their mates. The park was generally in a poor state of maintenance with many slides having patch jobs and leaks. The best part of the park was the kiddy splash areas which my children did enjoy so will give them that... The dolphin show was mediocre at best. We have been to many dolphin shows over the world and this was probably the worst. The show was exciting, but very short and there is zero shade because the canopy was destroyed and never replaced. In fact the whole atmosphere of the place was poor because of the over use of concrete everywhere. Don't even get me started on the lazy river of dispare, it's just a concrete river circle with brown dirty water, honestly it's mank.

Food is very expensive and poor quality, so best to either go outside for lunch (as there are a few restaurants which are great) or bring your own.

All in all I would recommend to everyone to go visit Siam (and purchase their fast passes) you will 100% have a better time and the same cost (as fast passes in Siam are much cheaper!).

Went Aqualand with my toddler & I can’t recommend enough it’s great if you’ve got little ones but also want a family day where there’s something for everyone it’s also a cheaper option to Siam Park!! I didn’t go on many of the slides myself but from what I did go on it was a lot of fun! Great day out for everyone!!

Some little pointers/tips from our visit:

Definitely take water shoes or sandals you’re not bothered about getting wet!

It is all salt water but don’t let that put you off! I was a bit weary when I found this out and worried about how my toddler would be but he was absolutely fine he was splashing around in it and wasn’t even phased by it going in his face when it did (wasn’t often)

They have lockers to rent for the day which are €5 with a €2 deposit however we didn’t need these as we just left our bags with the pram next to our sun loungers in front of the kids area where we stayed.

Sun loungers you need to pay for but they’re only €2 per Sun lounger and that’s for the whole day once you’ve payed it!

Take your own food or buy some from the supermarket that’s across the road from Aqualand. Today was for my boys birthday on Thursday (we have more plans for the week) so we weren’t bothered about paying the prices inside for their food. We got 3 meals & some little cheese bites which all came to just under €60😅🤣 however all food is cooked to order and it was really nice food! (Picture of our order below)

Get there early, we got there today just before 9:40am and we were the first there! The queue started to form 9:45-9:50am.

Dolphin show starts at 3:30pm but start queuing up 3pm latest to get a seat as it’s very popular and there’s only 1 show a day!!

There’s someone from the park walking round taking photos throughout the day, when you leave you walk past them and can purchase them if you wish. 1 photo was €10, 2 was €18… I can’t remember how much 3 & 4 was but 5 was something like €35 I think

Visited on first day of opening after lockdown. Here are my pros and cons:

1) Pools, slides and walkways in dire need of repair and look like that haven’t had any maintenance done in 20 years. The period of shut down should have been a prime opportunity to carry out some much needed updates. Kids slides were peeling and faded and steps to slides really rusty

2) water was NOT clean. First day of opening and already really cloudy

3) despite a €29 euro entrance fee per adult they charge €2 per lounger. In contrast Siam park has this all included in the entrance fee

4) wave pool - pitifully small and water was dirty and cloudy

5) the Tavern bar was a 45 minute queue for a drink. They were getting pretty much every food order wrong during that time.

6) the base of the pools and the edges of them are a very harsh course texture (basically concrete) and my son scratched his legs to pieces when playing.

7) the most dull lazy river I’ve ever experienced. No fun features and basically no momentum in the water.

1) Dolphin show was really good and the main reason to come. 4 dolphin show and they were amazing. You can have a photo taken with them after for €20

2) queues for the big slides were short.

3) Plenty of lifeguards around.

Overall: go to Siam park. Similar price, much letter facilities. No hidden costs.

As a family with two children we were looking forward to going to Aqualand... NEVER AGAIN. Firstly, on the website and outside it states fast passes were 25 euros, however when you go inside they then informed us they were 30,thats the price of entry which is bizarre. We declined and I was so glad we did, unlike siam Park they aren't separate queues for the fast pass so you would be waiting with everyone else. We had water shoes on but was told we couldn't wear them on the rides which was really irritating as the floor everywhere is stoney and dirty. Every ride we went on one of us was hurt, the rides are just not comfortable, dated and not very well supervised by the lifeguards. The dolphin show was OK but short, the food is ridiculously expensive so we didn't eat lunch there, went to Hemingways cafe across the road which I CAN recommend. The wave pool was poor compared to Siam Park but we didn't even get to experience it as there was something wrong with it. All in all, it charges so much for everything but where does the money go as its clearly not into the park. Very unhappy customer's

We went to this park as we read the reviews and thought it would be more suitable for our toddler who is 20 months over Siam park.
Me and my partner paid 29€ each to get in and my son was free. You also had to pay an extra 4 euros for sunbeds which I personally thought should have been included in the ticket price.

The toddler area was great, with lots of little slides and flumes to keep them entertained.
The rides for adults / bigger kids were also really good and there was no ques so you just walked on and off which was a bonus.

The only downside would be the food was very expensive, we spent 56€ on our lunch, which was a chicken and chips x2 and a hotdog and chips and 1 cider and 1 beer.
The park is a little bit run down and the water is freeeeezing however it is clean and safe.

The dolphin show is on at 15:30 daily and this was included in your ticket price, the show was fantastic and you could tell the dolphins were very much cared for.

Overall I would definitely recommend for families with younger children and we will definitely be back when we next visit Tenerife until my son is older to benefit from going to Siam park.

We had a bad experience here. Only one food shop with 2 person serving the whole park, so long wait for food that was bad and price was very high. Rides are mostly just kids stuff and when we wanted to leave 1 hour before closing we had to wait 45min to get a taxi. If you go here bring everything food water etc thats what the locals do. Also make sure you have some other transport then taxi to take you home.
