We are in Los Gigantes looking for a quiet, relaxing spot for a welcoming tea-time snifter. Enter Yates Bar, a dinky dream of a venue, tucked down a flight of open stairs, a short walk from the village square, with views towards the sea.
Park yourself at one of the tables outside, or, like us, take one of the comfortable plush seats inside facing the bar. Understated. Spotless with a calming, buttoned-down decor and drinks at highly sensible prices.

The service is impeccable from a wonderful Yorkshire couple who pride themselves in really caring for their customers. And there are tasty treats too: don't miss the savoury home-made tasty pasta nibbles with a appetising chilli edge. Scrumptious. There are books to read and friendly conversations eith the regulars. We went again. And again ...

We returned yet again to find the bar had changed ownership, it is now called Yates Lounge Bar, the owner Dave was very pleasant, prices so cheap, Bottles €1, Estrella €1.50 pint, House Wine €7 a bottle, all day and night. Quiz Night was still on, same people, was a great night and good food. It was nice to sit in the sun and talk to different people. I wish him all the luck

We stumbled on this bar, everybody was very friendly, lots of locals frequent it. It as air conditioning which is a bonus. The drinks are cheap, €5 for a bottle of local wine, €2.00 a pint, bottles at €1.50 and spirit and mixer only €3.50. We went to the quiz night on the Sunday, not many there, but a good atmosphere, with free snacks included. Tony and Sylvia are a lovely couple and very helpful.
