OASIS WILL BE RE-OPENING!

I am here in Los Gigantes and have just walked round to Oasis. It’s my favourite public pool on Tenerife! I was saddened when I researched before coming here to find it was closed.

But amazing news for all that love this place. I got to speak to the manageress as I was there and she assured me Oasis will definitely be re-opening!

Her advice was to keep an eye on their website. Dates of the opening will be given soon. I am so delighted this place is coming back! :)

We visited Oasis 4 times in 9 days as the 3 children enjoyed so much, well worth the cost!! The place was really clean and the children had lots of fun. The lifeguards were friendly and helpful! The Bar area is stunning looking out to sea for a coffee or a cheeky vino, reasonably priced too!! The restaurant food was nice and again reasonable priced and catered for all tastes. We visited on quiet and busier days and both equally as good. Slides perfect for the children and pool looking out to sea perfect for the adults.Highly recommend!!

We have been here many times before and although it is a lovely pool this year we will skip it for the rest of our holiday. The price has increased from €6 to €10(!!) per adult and €5 for a small child. You also have to pay €2 for an umbrella and you are not allowed to bring your own. This means €27 for a day and as you are not allowed to bring your own food you are forced to eat in their on-site restaurant where the food is VERY average.... also the last time we came there was a reduced price if you turned up late afternoon and only had a few hours in the pool left, not so this year though. Full price even if you arrive one hour before closing. Also, this year, as also stated in another review, the chemicals in the pool were so strong my daughter kept coming out of the water every two minutes to rinse her eyes out as it was so painful. They were red-raw by the end of the day. I have seen several parents with small children talk to the pool guys about this as their kids were in obvious pain! I find this completely unacceptable. A man with a test kit kept turning up also to take samples so clearly they knew the chemical balance was wrong. They should have shut the pool but they obviously care more about money than about the well being of their clientele. I would strongly suggest to avoid this place with small kids until they have sorted this out. Shame as it used to be very nice!!

I've got an opportunity to visit this place and I'm so happy that I did! First of all, the staff there is amazingly friendly and helpful. The main facility - pool - is amazing! Was my dream to swim in the infinity pool. Although, there were a lot of people, my friends and me had time to relax too. Moreover, the food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar were very delicious! So besides the good things I've listed, you are also can enjoy there the incredible view of Los Gigantes. Totally recommend this place.

Visited here with our two kids, 12 and 9.

Started badly, we’d booked a Bali Bed, but turned up to find a computer error meant that the beds were double booked. A bit of negotiation, and we were upgraded to the deluxe Bali Bed the next day.

Normally Euro 70, the deluxe Bed is in its own gated area. There’s an extra big bed, and four sun beds, plus your own shower. And of course fantastic views of the cliffs.

The pool is salt water but heated. There are a couple of slides for the kids (and adults) to use. To the side there’s a splash play area for younger children.

We ate in the restaurant, and enjoyed our meal. Burgers, pizza, and pasta all enjoyed.

There’s also a separate bar.

Overall, a bit jaded in places, but a great place to spend the day. Trouble is the kids will want the deluxe Bali Bed the next time!

We first visited the Oasis 30 years ago and it was a lovely place to chill out in Los Gigantes if you were staying somewhere that didn't have much in the way of facilities. The location provides for superb views across the harbour. We have revisited a couple of times but since our last visit The Oasis has been revitalised almost beyond recognition. The grounds are free to enter - you only pay to use the various facilities on offer, so it is highly recommended as a coffee/snack spot.

My son was agressed by other children under my own eyes, I have adressed to the staff, and because the others were a group (probably the adults were known to the staff), they have tried to convince me that was nothing going on, as the lifeguard was on lunch break and because he didn’t see it, it means it didn’t happen. I asked to speak with the manager, staff lied to me that she isn’t there, but after I started raising my tone, the manager showed instantly. Thinking I can’t understand spanish, the lifeguard called me a liar, when questioned about this. Obviously I have left and forwarded this to my solicitor

Amazing views of the surrounding area! There's a pool bar selling ice cream, drinks, coffees etc and a restaurant which you can sit in or take away to the pool side which we did – the prices/quality of food was fine. It costs 8 euro for an adult and 4 for a child to spend the day here, you get a sun bed which the friendly staff will place anywhere you want it - these guys are lovely, really good with kids! The pool was cold when we were there but I heard it had been shut down for a week for work so perhaps it hadn't got up to temperature yet? It's a saltwater infinity pool with slides and a smaller kids pool with stuff to keep them busy. We really liked it so we spent 2 days out of a 5 day holiday there!

We’ve been coming to the pool for years. The improvements to the pool area are fantastic. Grass is looking more weary than I’ve ever remembered but might be hard to maintain with weather and wear and tear. However, with the pool comes certain restrictions. You can’t bring in your own food. We hadn’t eaten in the restaurant for a couple of years because of the poor quality of the food eaten there previously. We decided to give it another go yesterday. I ordered the baby squid. Love it, been to Rome and other places abroad and it’s always been great to eat. What I was served yesterday was obviously cooked in very old fat or oil. I couldn’t finish it off although I did try as I was hungry. It was awful. Even the pigeons they have roaming around your feet didn’t want to know when offered. I followed this with a tuna sandwich. It came with mayonnaise. Came with it! The tuna was swimming again. Not nice and sorry but it won’t be repeated. We will do what we generally do. Leave the Oasis and eat elsewhere for lunch. If you are going to have restrictions you need to up your game. Extremely disappointed! The waiter and pool staff all do a wonderful job. Very friendly and courteous. It’s a shame the restaurant lets it down. Please try and sort it out. I’d love to leave a more positive review.

What has happened to the oasis? We regularly come to this place and we are not going to be visiting this place as often in future. They have out priced it for average people to come here. Now charging €10 instead of €8 each. No discount for arriving late afternoon. Not good when u can suddenly get a cloudy afternoon. We noticed it was a lot quieter than usual and understand why. It’s a shame for the bar and restaurant owners because they are now struggling as the complex rent out those facilities!! They need to remember people think with their feet and look to find somewhere else. Is this cost because the Lido is shut? But really it’s not worth the hassle driving up there. We have a pool at our apartment anyway we just like a change. I also don’t like the fact the pool attendant pounce on you for the money as soon as you enter the premises in case you change your mind. Which if it’s cloudy you are likely to do.
