The cable car is a great way to get near to the summit of Teide and the views are stunning. Better to go in the morning as the cloud often cloaks the summit in the afternoon. If you're really fit then you can climb up to the summit with a guide. On busy days parking can be a bit of... More

The drive to the cable car is pretty spectacular in itself. We didn't stop on the way but there are little cafes and bars in the way up the mountain Apparently you can book a time slot for the cable car in line - I would definitely advise that as we had to wait nearly two hours after buying tickets... Great Views driving up there, about 1 and a half hs through SURREAL BEAUTY from all sides, vegetation, colors, scents, shapes, flowers, trees, everything seems a bit surreal because of the fact that the changes in nature as you get higher and higher, it seems that each level of the trip, has it s own particular kinds of plants, shapes,... I was really skeptical about paying the extra to go up the cable car, felt you probably could drive up and see all you needed to see. However, in the end really enjoyed the trip up and the various walks round once you are deposited at the top. We went in the afternoon on a clear day so the views... More

worth going up in the cable car to see the beautiful views but do book in advance as the queues are long as only two going up and down. also it does not run if the weather is bad. the cost is €27 for a return trip

Unfortunately we did not pre book, but on arriving at 11am we went straight to queue for tickets. We were told whilst queuing that the trip would be 2.30. We thought this was long but decided to go for it as we were here. By the time we got to the ticket desk the trip time was 15.10. We walked... More

First of all I am strongly recommend using online booking as walk-in could often finish in few hours waiting time as cars has capacity of around 40 pax and it takes approx.8 min each way. Not to mention that internet booking has seperate entrance. I don't know how it is possible but return ticket bought at bottom and one way... More

Cable car does not run in adverse windy weather so if you miss out be sure to visit Teide on a calmer day. The cable car does not take you to the top but the view from this lower summit is spectacular and worth the visit. Air is thin so take it easy and don't forget warm clothing.

We arrived and started to queue for tickets, it didn't take long to reach just short of the front of the queue. We were about 3 people away before paying when a staff member came out with a board which said bad weather stops the cable cars. She explained they couldn't sell any tickets. We were then asked to leave... More

We booked out ride on line, it's cheaper and quicker then doing it there. We had a 10.30am booking and got there 1/2 hour early we still didn't get in the cable car till nearly 11am. Didn't matter as it's well worth the visit. Take warm clothes in the winter as it's freezing cold up there. Take a jacket in... More
