The hotel is lovely when arriving, but we were in a queue to book into our room (half an hour) due to queues. However, we arrived at 12:00 and we were not in our room until approx 3:30! The room was lovely and very clean. The food was a buffet for every meal, and a grill with fish or meat served... I say served.... slapped on your plate from an angry looking cook! The meat was always as tough as boards. Some food on the buffet was hard to discern. The food served by the pool was hot dogs and burgers, and we don’t like fast food or unsure of the quality. The drinks were good, and known brands. We were eventually told we could eat one night in a restaurant, and when booking, we were informed they weren’t open Monday and Tuesday, so too late as we returned home on Tuesday. The was a tapas bar, originally told you had to ok, but so few were eating there, they were allowing us to go in and have some tapas.
Whilst personally I didn’t enjoy the food, I’m sure others were happy with this Butlin’s style food offering. There was also a layered approach to their offerings. If you were a platinum visitor you could use their restaurant, some seating areas, and a virtual pool accessed with your room card. These areas were unavailable to those who hadn’t booked Platinum. I hate structures like this. The entertainment centre was a disgrace... covers on seats filthy, stage curtains ripped and dirty looking. We stopped in there for 5 minutes as the smell of deodorising’perfume’ to mask the dirty smell in there was overpowering. I wouldn’t put my children in there at all. This room didn’t look part of the hotel, as the hotel itself is very smart and clean. This was the opposite.

You can hire two sunbeds and one umbrella with 12 euros for whole day (4 euros each).
The beach is clean and the water is clean too. Also there are facilities nearby you can use toilets, showers and changing rooms.

Arrived on Tuesday 14th January and was disappointed to find that if we wanted a pool view we would have to pay an extra 280 euros. We opted to stay in the room allocated which looked onto a building site. After the initial disappointment we headed to the pool area where we sat chatting to another couple when we were approached and asked to leave these loungers as they were for VIP guests leaving us feeling insuperior and discriminated against😡 our previous visit to this hotel was a much better experience where I found much better choice of food in the restaurant. I recommended this hotel to my daughter who will be arriving with her 2 kids and I’m now regretting this as the price paid doesn’t merit the service given. The hotel is lovely but I’ve had better service for less money. Will I return NO

Tourist attractions centre in lover ground in playa de arena. I will never go again no refund no excuse! We have booked a quad bike for 300euro. Paid deposit of 135euro. When we booked he didn't tell us we needed a driving license with us! We asked a 14-year-old boy who can drive he said you can ask on the day so we booked to try to entertain our son but on the day Ihe said u can ask. So all we thinking off riad he can drive. People go on holiday to relax not thinking about driving all day every day during to holiday so husband didn't have his driving licence on him so didn't ask only accept with driving licence booked with it! Next-Day driver come collect from hotel 1st question is show me driving licence! We don't know we need it to prove we will not book lost our money! Don't go to the place in playa de arena tourist attraction centre he just rip u off no excuse! You just ended up with your money! If u want to book a guide bike you need your driving licence with u!

Came upon this beach yesterday and visited it again today. It’s situated in a little tourist resort called Playa de la Arena. The beach itself is made of black natural volcanic sand and is one of the cleanest beaches I’ve ever been on. €4 for a sun lounger, great place to bring kiddies. The facilities are spotless, €1 for a shower, 20 cent for toilet and the same for private changing area. It’s a tourist town without the Irish bars or English breakfasts. If I was to come back to Tenerife I’d definitely stay here. Today was a little overcast so the pics aren’t great, they certainly don’t do the beach justice. While the kids were heading down to beach myself and Gary went for coffee in a small café looking out on the beach. The coffee was so good we had 2 cups and Gary had a ham and cheese bagel. The total cost was €9.50. Couldn’t believe it.

Lovely black sand beach, really good facilities with well maintained toilets and showers for 20c. Deck chairs and umbrellas for hire.
There was a lifeguard both times we went and plenty of warnings about the currents which were very strong- I swam a little and it was so difficult to swim against- I had to wait for waves to get back to shore. So I wouldn’t recommend for swimming.
The sand is nice and warm and great for building sand castles. We had fun!
There is a nice ramp walk down to the beach with lovely views suitable for pushchairs.

Tiny beach, no ball games including bat and ball even when the beach was quiet at 10am in March. No real reason given, very disappointing. Charge use for toilets. Nothing special. Disappointed.

We hired a car from Oasis car hire, through "Excursions" booking agent on Av. Marítima Puerto de Santiago (nextdoor to Ina's Cueva). We had some problems (which were completely our own fault) but the company was really good about it and we would use them again for sure.

One of the nicer beaches. Sun beds and umbrellas available to rent at reasonable prices. Nice safe beach for swimming and lifeguards are present on the beach. A good range of restaurants nearby. Great amenities too including showers and toilets which were clean.

Lovely black sandy beach. Very clean, with many amenities. Easily accessible beach for wheelchairs and pushchair. WC, showers, bathrooms, changing rooms. Hire parasols and sunbeds. Massages, medical team and lifeguards. Friendly beach for families. Parking, bus stop, many shops and restaurants in steps away.
