We took a tour to see the sunset and stars on Teide. We really got so much more than that - pleasant company local knowledge and several wow factors- views- information and the final little camp set up for us to see the stars complete with rugs chairs and hot chocolate. We have hired a car so could have done this ourselves but are so glad we didn’t! Can’t recommend enough!…

Wow, fantastic electric motor bike , route, the host Gary and real local good food. The Bike silent, light and fast, the route covered a long way up and around the tallest mountain in Europe. Gary is a really interesting professional biker, surfer, sailer, walker, diver etc and worked around the world and speaks in many languages. Definitely a memorable trip. …

I participated into a hiking week at Tenerife. All activities were organized by Xwander even though the trip package was sold by Tjäreborg. Everything worked really well. Sini, the main guide was really pleasant company and all other guides (Eija, Veijo and Outi) were really knowledgeable. Eija and Outi both have lived in Canary islands "for ever" and were able to tell a lot about the life and nature there in addition to normal information about the hiking route. We had nice small group and weather could not have been any better. That is naturally something Xwander cannot impact but we were lucky. One of the hikes, AFUR - TAGANANA, was more challenging that I anticipated based on the travel information but I'm happy I did it. The views were gorgeous! Small critic there, Veijo might have walked a little slower and there could have been another longer break. Now the schedule felt a bit too tight for "normal" people. Day at the La Gomera island was nice addition to this trip since it was the first time for me on that island. This is in my mind best way to see the Tenerife or any other of Canary islands. Suitable amount of different days in the nature but also time to enjoy the hotel pool and one day off to spent how ever you wish.…

Professional Guides: they are not boring, not too intrusive, make the tour interesting. Provide a good level of service. Appreciate feedback and hear suggestions. There will be many fond memories.

We were guided by June and there were only five of us in our group. We kept a steady pace and our guide was very informative of the flora and fauna we encountered along the way. Paths were excellent though after rain would be very muddy and slippery, Scenery was good and visibility clear. We walked about 7km in under 3 hours.…
