We visited this lovely clean beach and promenade on a cruise call to Arrecife. The whole area is clean and very well maintained. In warmer weather, it would be a great place to spend the day sunbathing and swimming, but it was quite cool in December so we just had a stroll up and down the promenade.

Lovely little man made blonde sandy beach next to the Hotel Gran. Sun beds and parasols for rental. The sea is very welcoming here - quite shallow- but very cold at this time of year !

Playa Del Reducto is a nice city beach with lots of amenities nearby. There is parking, bathrooms and lots of restaurants available so you can stay as long as you like. The boardwalk in front of the beach is very popular and well maintained.

Playa del Reducto is a sand beach located in Arrecife, the main town of Lanzarote. It is the typical sand beach with a.promenade, where you can relax, bath or sunbath. Also, it is a nice place to come with children or friends. Nice like many others.

We stayed in Hotel Diamar which is on Playa Del Reducto.

We were lucky as this beach is beautiful with golden sand.

We also spent time travelling the island and today came back from Puerto Del Carmen where we were told there was a lovely beach BUT it was no where as nice as Playa Del Reducto.

Playa Del Reducto is a beautiful beach that is not too crowded, has sun beds and a life guard and beautiful clean sea with fish swimming in it.

There is a gentle breeze and an array of shops, cafes and bars close by.

One of the nicest beaches we have been to.

Highly recommended.

This is a stunning yellow (imported) sand beach that is 850m from the cruise dock, or 300m + land train (4€ step on off 35 min circuit) which stops every 20min just beyond the cruise berth shopping outlets. The beach is backed by hotels restaurants, and hire facilities. There are toilet facilities (changing) in the near end and showers. The area is clean shallow and sheltered by outer reefs for 200m+ before one is out of your depth.

It is unbelievable how could authorities of Arrecife allow to build such a architectonic monster close to such a beautiful bay. The monster is green, huge and completely overwhelms this place. I beg you, pull it down and raise a lighthouse there.

Playa del Reducto is a white sand beach located in Arrecife, the capital city of Lanzarote.
It spreads for 600 meters, from Punta del Cantito to the Gran Hotel.
It is a very tranquil beach, being protected from both sides by natural reefs, hence the name Arrecife, with shallow waters, like a huge natural pool, decorated with Coconut trees, perfect for hidding from the Sun and the Wind...Sunbeds & umbrellas are available to book.
It is particularly great for families with children, because there's no waves, the water is shallow and it is a very, very safe place,no one will touch your belongings.
The boardwalk, made out of black Volcanic Rock specific to Lanzarote & the white sand offers a nice visual contrast.
It's been rewarded with the blue flag;it hosts showers, shops, restaurants, some museums & galleries nearby, espressos,Gelatos, few CSCs arround there as well, taxi ranks, the Gua-Guas intercambiador (bus stop) & a skate parc right next to it.
The public toilet there is very clean, well maintained, suitable for disabled people, and most importantly, free as it should be.
Because Lanzarote is a turistic island, some areas host specific types of tourists, but being in the capital city,it is great to meet locals,or Mahos(pre-hispanic Canarian Culture)
At night there's lots of people at the beach & arround;it is quite lively, the only thing missing is live music, but there are some night-clubs very close by,that open after 11 in the night.
It's a very lively beach,safe,clean & well maintained,so Enjoy !
Cheers for reading my review,

All the best,

George
