old rotting ship?
Dec 2019
Not the most attractive thing to see, obviously abandoned years ago and needs scrapping before it rusts away into the salty sea

Nice photo opportunity with some imagination but very little information as how and why it happened?

Ship Wreck
Nov 2019
The ship wreck is in the middle of the industrial part of the docks. Very little information is provided near it to inform you of how it ended up there. Though provoking but only worth a few minutes. Not an ‘attraction’ to go out of your way for.

Mixed feelings

Deciding to walk along the coastal path from Costa Teguise to Arrecife, this was quite a surprise as we came around the corner. The first thought is 'oh, a grounded rusting ship!' closely followed by wondering what happened. There's no information about why it became grounded (by a storm or faulty radar equipment for example), only a notice board telling you not to swim near the ship. The internet simply says that it's a cargo ship that ran aground on a reef. On one hand it ruins the lovely scenery and it's sad to see an abandoned ship disintegrating, on the other hand it seems like an accessory to the adjacent docks and adds character to this secluded bay. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see it, but it's worth a glance when driving past.

It’s a sad wreck - not an attraction

Seen this sorry sight several times. I can’t believe it qualifies as a TA Attraction especially as I can’t find a web site for it which is what I believe the rules require.
If you like rusty run aground vessels fair enough. I don’t and I think it’s somewhat ridiculous it’s listed.

It’s not a flipping attraction.
It’s a rusting ship.
Only the arty will revel in its decay.
The rest of go ‘ugh what a mess’.

If you enjoy unusual sites, this is one not to miss! It is so easy to access and walk to, and you can take such amazing photographs when walking by the refineries. So glad I found this up on Google. Very cool.

Wrecked ship slowly rusting away

As others have observed I'm rteally not sure why this wreck has an entry on tripadvisor as it is probably too dangerous to go onboard. No doubt it is possible to sail around it in a motorised boat.
