About
Visit our craft brewery and our brewpub in the Puerto Naos fishing district. Enjoy our beers while you see how we brew them. Our place used to be a fishing nets workshop at the end of the 19th century. Now it is a place full of life of "seafaring refuge" style, where to enjoy our beers and tapas while you can see how we brew them, the brewpub and the factory are separated only by a glass. NAO, its the place to beer!

One of two craft breweries on Lanzarote. Welcome beer after a morning discovering Arrecife. Unfortunate my favourite beer Capitan wasn’t on but the NEIPA I had was so refreshing. Lovely little place with helpful staff where you can see the beer being made .

As a lover of real ale / craft beers it was great to finally have proper beer on the island. No need for Dorada etc etc.
The beer and set up are of a good quality.
Loved the quirky location, giving the place a great ambience.
Staff were great and helpful.
Had found the beers at other outlets across the island, but often had to ask.
I look forward to finding them in more places at my nexr visit.
Tried the complete range in bottles at different times over the day at different establishments.
The Black Patrón, stood out to me, a very credible moorish beer, Capitan was also good and the wife liked "Gloria" a Weiss beer. See their website for beer details.

Brewery bar opening times are very limited, lunch and evenings on thursday and friday only.
Well worth finding a time for a visit, if not find their beers on the island.

Visited Nao as part of a craft beer tour and loved it.

Really interesting bar with a small but excellent range of beers!

Worth seeking out!

Amazing little place with few kinds of local beer. If you like beer, that's the place to be in Lanzarote!

Nice staff, excellent beer, although a little bit expensive. Still, a unique experience in the desert with their craft beer.

I had heard there was a new craft brewery in Arrecife so I set out to find it and sample the beers. If you start at the Charco San Gines (the large boating lake just off the centre of the town) it is a ten minute walk along Calle Juan de Quesada bearing left at the Nautical College and passed the ship chandler shops. Just as you see the Memorial Lighthouse, across the road, turn left on Calle Focque to find the brewery about fifty meters away at the top of the road. The NAO craft brewery is located in an old warehouse that is reminiscent of the dockland history of this part of Arrecife and it has a spartan chic to its decor. The bar area hints at the fact that this is the public face of the brewery which can be glimpsed through the large glass window behind the bar. Wooden bar stools invite you to a place at the matching counter where the bar taps stand shining and proud. At the moment the brewery boasts three beers Capitan, Marinera and La Gloria and since we (my wife and I) had made the journey we sampled all three. Capitan is on draught so I ordered a half pint and bottles of the other two. Styled as an American pale ale the Capitan is red gold freshness with a slight hoppy linger. It was definitely refreshing especially as it served at a slightly lower temperature than would normally be expected for this type of drink. I was pacing myself so I tried La Gloria next. It has a deeper golden colour underlying its hoppy flavour. This was easy on the palette and held lemony bitterness on my tongue after each mouthful and I could easily have indulged in a few more but I had one more beer to sample. The Marinera is described as a light beer and manages to mix the qualities of lager and beer to accomplish a satisfyingly golden thirst-quencher that dances crisply across the tongue leaving fleeting hoppiness in its wake. This was undeniably my favourite and only by chance had I kept it for last. It seems that the place is developing a name amongst locals as there was a steady stream of customers during my visit; some drank at the bar but mostly bought to take away.

The prices for the beer was very, very reasonable for such a delightful product.

There are toilets on site and they are spotless. The bar is fully wheelchair accessible,

It would be nice if the brewery really took off as these beers will appeal to all drinkers and if you are in Lanzarote get along to Arrecife because NAO is well worth a visit now.
