We were told to watch our heads for the small low spaces, that is all more or less we were told. Our guide was soooo uninspired ! At the end I was totally flabbergasted, this brings the 3 stars. But Abigail... please show some more enthusiasm. The audience pays your salary.

The caves are the thing. Cave is a misnomer, actually. It's a lava tube, a remnant of the last time the mountain erupted, possibly millions of years ago. It is, quite simply, awe inspiring. Or it would be, but for two things. One, the guide. She had a spiel to deliver, in three languages, and I guess she did this... More

Very nice cave system and well worth a visit. The guide his English is not that good but understandable if you stay close to the guide. Be prepared for a nice surprise at the furthest point of the tour.

A fantastic visit and our first time in a lava tube!!! Our guide did not have the best English but we were still able to understand the basics and the written guide we picked up at the entrance filled in the rest. The 'secret' is absolutely brilliant but we're not giving any clues. You must go and see for yourself!... More

This is one of the many great destinations on an island full of nice surprises. We enjoyed getting a feel for the sheer size of this lava tunnel and it was a very pleasant and constant (always) 18 degrees. The tour guide was sometimes difficult to hear as she had a cold and also her microphone wasn't working but otherwise... More

We went to visit the caves and luckily we had read reviews so managed to be at the front of the 60+group! So we could hear the very disinterested dull guide! The caves made up for his lack of personality! We would definitely recommend but wear trainers and a light jumper

Arrived mid morning and initially had parking issues but quickly resolved. Having paid had to wait only about 5 minutes for a large enough group.Good commentary in several languages from our guide and interesting tour which took about 50 mins. May be difficult if not so immobile due to some narrow and low areas. Surprise at the end was awesome.

You have to take a tour to visit there as you'll get lost without one. It was interesting enough but being part of a big group can be tiresome after a while. Tour takes 50 mins
