Magnificent home and gardens open to public (museum, bar and restaurant). Built for Omar Sharif by Jesus Soto and influenced by Cesar Manrique (responsible for almost every architectural tourist attraction on Lanzarote). One of Lanzarote's top 10 I reckon.

I have never seen a house like this. No one has. The house itself is actually quite small but when you combine the building with the garden is covers quite a large area. There are a lot of steps to negotiate but it is well...More

Worth visiting just to see how volcanic caves can be designed into different types of rooms. Not practical as a first home but wow what a place to bring friends at the weekend to play cards high above the spectacular pool. The myth of Omar...More

Found out about this from some literature in the villa we were staying in. 6 euros each to go in and it was well worth it. What a spectacular house. Does not look much from outside but wow inside it is lush. Beautifully maintained. We...More

The restaurant is amazing and the multiple bars are brilliant with good staff, reasonable prices, and a unique atmosphere you won't find anywhere else. It's not widely advertised but well worth the visit. Photographers will love the views in the day time too!

A place which is not highly publicised but which is well worth a visit. Having been to the island many times we were not even aware that this place existed. We spend a couple of hours wandering around exploring the numerous cubby holes and admiring...More
