Overview
More
Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

From here you have a perfect view on the island La Grasioca. But the real highlight of this visit was the visit to the Mirador building , designed by Manrique. Hard to describe, just go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Tip :...More

Amazing views. Visited on a sunny day but it was very windy (as usual I expect). Well worth the drive up. Cafe and gift shop. Our 9 year old granddaughter named it as one of the highlights of the whole holiday.

We had found Lanzarote in general not to be very scenic due to the results of the volcanic activity many years ago leaving the island covered in frozen volcanic rock or black volcanic dust, but when we visited Mirador del Rio we were absolutely blown...More

Must go to see another brilliant creation by the Master. Manrique was an inspirational artist and archhitect indeed. Amazing views over La Graciosa from inside or from the outside walkway

Visited on a cloudy day. Very windy, as usual, occacionally blue sky. Conditions changing rapidly. Stunning view over La Graciosa island. Not for people with vertigo. Also the building is very nice, typical Lanzarote arhitecture.

Fab views and the cafe is very reasonably priced and we got sweatshirts reasonably priced from the gift shop! It's windy and we were cold. We went as part of the grand tour and would have liked a bit longer here.

Entry €9 per adult or can purchase ticket for €20 to visit 3 attractions which is what I did, I didn't think this was worth €9. Great views would be ideal for photographers. We was only there for about 20 mins, very windy and cold,...More

The views here are amazing for all photographers out there. It's a view and nothing else. They do have a restaurant and several seating areas. €9 entry for adults and €4.50 for children. It's best to get the combo ticket and see the caves also.
