About
Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

quite a view after intense drive
May 2021
I think the view was worth 5€. You can almost see the entirety of La Graciosa. The waves crashing against the rocks looks so small. There are two roads that lead there. The direct road from the south is wide and straight. Another road to the southwest is intense. It’s narrow and not for drivers with a fear of heights. I was the passenger and i was terrified. Like a roller coaster but without the security of being on rails. You can also have a drink and enjoy the view inside the cafe. Another one of Lanzarote’s well designed tourist sites accentuating the beauty of the island.

Amazing and scary views
Jan 2021 • Couples
It really is worth the effort to travel to the north of the island to see these amazing views.
The view from the cafe with the large picture windows is great and less of a problem compared to the path in front of the windows with a very large drop.
There are other places outside where you can enjoy the views without being too close to the drop.
Superb view of La Graciosa island and the ferry.

Stunning views
Dec 2020 • Couples
We only had a fleeting visit here due to time constraints over Christmas but we’re so pleased we drove up from Puerto Calero in the south of Lanzarote. Complete contrast and the scenery and some of the blown out volcanos were simply stunning. We plan to visit again so we can get the ferry over to the little island and have a few hours there. It was very quiet due to the pandemic but that was ok because you had time and space to enjoy the views and it wasn’t crowded out with tourists. Well worth a visit.

Amazing view
Dec 2020
Really great view.
I haven’t been here for the sunset but I was still happy with that the view was.
I advise everyone to buy the combo ticket, you will save a lot instead of visiting the individual top attractions of Lanzarote.

Top of the world mirador
Nov 2020 • Couples
So many have visited this view point that remains one of the most popular scenic attractions of Lanzarote and so much has been written about it that there no need to say more than just make sure you go and enjoy it - it’s an unmissable place, designed by the unforgettable Cesar Manrique. Luckily I’ve been able to escape the crowds that normally come to this place. It’s better to come early in the morning and right now it’s actually quiet due to the pandemic, that had it’s impact on Lanzarote’s tourism.

Alright, not spectacular.
Nov 2020 • Couples
It was alright, funny to see la Graciosa but not spectacular for the price. A little bit disappointed to be honest.

Stunning

Built into the side of a mountain, this place has the most spectacular views. I felt like I was at the top of the world, you could almost touch the clouds. A Cesar Manrique creation, the man was a genius. Definitely worth a visit.
