The duration here is only 2 hours and a half to three hours, here we will sail towards the north of the island visiting "Cueva Bonita", "Cueva Candelaria" and the "La Veta" beach and then we will go offshore Look for cetaceans before returning to port, with stop to make bath also.

We got very lost getting there & ended up ascending the mountain from the western side. Big mistake! Our hired VW Polo really struggled on that very narrow, crazy twisty & very steep road. As we discovered on the descent, the easterly road is so much better, so be warned. Once at the top, the views were amazing & well worth the struggle up that terrible road.

As with other reviews, for challenging ascent. We found Isla Bueonvistas Tours (in Los Cancanjos tho advertised all over) took a coach of walkers up and joined them. Very helpful company and relaxed, (happy!) guides. Wonderful walk. Recommend walking sticks if you are wary of stones and shale.

You can't miss this highlight of the island. It is the highest point so you can imagine the views from up there. If you are lucky in a clear day you can see other islands too such as La Gomera or Tenerife. The road to get there is plenty of curves so be ready if you are a dizzy person. Just beside there are a lot of astronomy settlements with gigantic telescopes. If you are interested in they have tours inside to show you what scientists do in them.Bring trekking shoes something necessary for wherever you go in La isla bonita.

A trip to the edge of this extinct volcano is well worth it for the fantastic views as far a mount Teide on Tenerife, you will also see about 13 telescopes as this is the cleanest a clearest air in Europe hence many countries have funded them for Astro physical research

Well, quite a drive up to the top of 2500m or so, around hairpin bends in first gear! Well worth the time taken to safely navigate to the top. Just fantastic views of the volcanic mountains and ravines around them. A good car park at the top, past the observatories and fascinating mirrored lenses reflecting the sky, sea and landscape. The panarama is complete with Tenerife, El Hierro and La Gomera clearly visible in the blue sky beyond. Wow, well worth the trip up here, just amazing.
