I live in Gran Canaria and the truth is I never went to Jardín Canaria until a friend (from another country) told me about it. I thought it was going to be a small garden (hadn't read any review) and found a huge park full of vegetation. You have to bring appropriate shoes as there are many stairs (it's could... More

The Jardin Canario doesn't have an easy access. We took a bus from San Telmo and we had a stroller which was not a good idea. There are a lot of stairs and it is better to wear good shoes, however it is beautiful and very peaceful.

This is a must-see if you in the north of the island - and it's totally free!!!!!!! I have been many, many times at all times of year and still enjoy. We always enter at the bottom gate to avoid the steps and every time we're amazed at how, even when there are lots of people, the place still remains... More

We visited the gardens today, by public transport, which dropped us 400yds from the entrance, at the top of the gardens. We found the paths and steps quite treacherous, with no hand rails anywhere, and very steep drops. We where put off by this and only managed a short distance before giving up. I would not recommend for the faint... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our picnic in the much recommended Jardin Canario, The park is split up into different gardens, according to their features. For example, cacti and succulents and Pine Trees. The park is surrounded by the Canarian countryside. The walk was relaxing and there was plenty of cool shade even on a hot day!

This park can be visited by parking above and below. Make sure to park below. That's where the nicest part of the park is. Many cacti and other beautiful plants.

We are sorry to say we were disappointed with the gardens. They were hard to get to and in June not as colourful as surrounding private gardens. I am sure that for real botanists and experts the work is really interesting but we did not perhaps know enough to appreciate this. The slope and paths down to the garden were... More

We travelled from Playa Del Ingles to see this garden. We got a bus into Las Palmas, then a separate bus up the gardens. After walking along a main road facing on coming traffic, which was a bit hairy we finally went into what seemed to be the entrance. It had been poorly signposted. We inititially ate in the restaurant,... More
