We spent over four hours here in mid January in perfect, warm sunshine and still did not cover the entire area but it is the largest such botanical garden in Spain and boasts a collection of more than 2000 species with many unique to the Canaries. The most impressive for us was the cacti and succulent garden simply for its... More

Place where you can learn about plants in Canary Islands, types of palm trees around the world, succulents, maybe meet some animals. There is a lot of benches and picnic areas where you can rest. The area is very big and located on the hill, which is lovely but climbing can be quite tiring

The gardens are set in a ravine so some of the paths are quite steep. The cactus garden is superb. Would not be suitable for the infirm. Very easy to get to by bus from Las Palmas.

After several trips to Gran Canaria, this time we decided to visit the Botanical Garden near Las Palmas. It is supposed to be the biggest in Spain, but having visited several large gardens of this type in the past, we expected to spend two hours or so. Fortunately, we had come by rental car not a bus tour, so we could... More

Very beautiful park with lots of plants from different biotopes. Views are beautiful so this a worth of visit even you are not kind of plant expert. Good parking areas and a restaurant,no entrance fee.

A huge botanic garden in which you will find a great variety of plants of all kinds. It's a nice spot to take a walk in the nature and see all kinds of cactuses, trees and flowers. Would be even better if they had a cafeteria or a restaurant.

If you love to wander around this garden is a good place to visit. Even in wintertime there is much to see and you can make a varied walk through the garden. Be aware that climbing is part of the visit.

We found wonderful cactus garden and many different unusual trees. Unfortunately there were no flowers in december. So, flower fans would be disappointed.

I would get there early as this becomes rather popular with us tourists. I had my own vehicle so parked at the bottom and walked to the top where you get good views of the surrounding area.
