If you're hoping to explore the waters of Gran Canaria don't miss this top value snorkeling excursion, complete with equipment, lunch, and even an open bar included. Beyond the fantastic views of the cliffs and sea, this tour is truly about snorkeling, since your destination is a protected beach where you can snorkel at your leisure. After exploring the undersea world, enjoy a Spanish lunch before heading back to port.

Be prepared for rocky rough steps and confusing paths with few directions/ maps except at the top. Really have to focus on the steps but don’t miss much as the gardens are really only at the bottom while the rest of the garden is trees and schrub. Cactus and water garden are nice. Best is the restaurant either outside under the arbor or inside for the views.

The positives first ! Free entry and very peaceful .The fogs in the lily pond were amazing , The cactus garden was good and the gardens at the lower level were quite pretty . The negatives ! The paths from the upper levels can only described as treacherous and should only be attempted by the very fit and wearing sturdy trainers or hiking boots . I felt the gardens were poorly maintained and unloved . They need hundreds of hours from willing volunteers and a massive injection of cash to restore them.

Took the bus and entered from the upper entrance. We were confronted by a steep and winding set of steps and slopes through a variety of trees (including Dragon trees) and bushes down to the botanical gardens below. The gardens have a large variety of plants and cacti. The winding paths project the feeling of how the island must have been before the island became developed. Well worth a visit to experience the diverse island plant life.

Slightly scruffy but fine. Lots of weeds giving the impression of being un-tended. Perhaps not the best time of year to visit. If you go, park at the bottom NOT the top as it’s a steep walk up/down!
