Beautiful views and small paths make this garden a unique place! The paths are sometimes past a canyon which we found cool. The cactus garden is also a very nice place. Overall the garden is a more rough botanic garden than most.

Good place to have a rest from sunbathing on the beaches. Half of a day sent there for sure. Advice.

Horrible visit. Pictures display beautiful garden walks but you have to walk through mountains very high not safe at all very quiet. Not suitable for children.

If you’re looking for a garden bursting full of colours, then this isn’t the place to be. Vegetation here is all about the indigenous plants of the island and other succulents that thrives in warm weather. The layout is quite confusing at first but it’s...More

Good selection of plants showing the types of plants in GC and from similar environments. Great variety of cacti. Many of the paths up the hillside are steep, rough and without protection against the drop, so they may not be suitable for everyone. The lower...More

This was part of a tour of Las Palmas and surrounding areas. The gardens are varied and interesting and although not as vibrant in colour as some, they do show a huge range of diverse trees, bushes, plants and of course Cacti. The appearance of...More

Most botanical gardens are lush places filled with a riot of colour. Like the island itself, this place offers something different. Muted greens and arid sandy soil predominate. There are lots of natIve specimens plus examples from Morocco and Saharan regions. They are all grouped...More

As others have commented, the walk down the ravine is not for the faint-hearted or for those who are not sure-footed. You can pick some less challenging routes but, even then, it’s a fair way down (and subsequently back up again - see the picture...More

Two entrances to this place. The bus from San Telmo only passes the upper entrance. The paths from there to the lower level are for the sure footed and those with a head for heights. We abandoned our first visit because of this. There is free...More

I ate at the restaurant that is by the entrance on the top. It wars nice outside. Onside there is a great view over the garden but too noisy of the maschines like refrigerator etc. The food was good, the price acceptable.

Definitely worth it! Use the lower entrance and work your way up. Most of the garden is wheelchair accessible, even though you might have to be a bit patient in some places :)
