My wife and I visited this beach in January 2019.

Beautiful soft warm sand in the sun. The toilet's were very well attended, clean and free to use with showers also.

There is a little shop to buy ice cream and drinks on the beach even in off season.

I did go for a swim as the water looked clear and clean.

But of course the eye can play tricks. There is a marina to the left of you. Cargo ships , being a port and other boats moored in front of you.

I leave the rest to your imagination!

No view as such out into the ocean.

It is the nearest beach to Las Palmas.

The Alcaravaneras Beach is Las Palmas city's less attractive beach because it faces the industrial port where many great vessels are moored. Warnings about the water quality here often only reach the local community and sometimes foreign visitors do not realize that the water is low quality.

The beach is very close to the busy port, and you can see all the ships and yachts from it. It is good for sports, e.g. if you play volleyball, or just want to sit for an hour and sunbath, but the water did not look clean enough to swim (although you can do it). Better go to Las Canteras!

A nice beach to spend a few hours... Great sand. But the view towards the industrial harbour is not so nice... Not tempting to swim...

This is the second, often forgotten beach of Las Palmas. Definitively Las Canteras is better but an alternative is the later gets crowded. It's easy to access and great for sports.

OK if you like boat spotting, either little sailing boats or monstrous cruise boats, but if you want a beach, far better to walk for 10-15 minutes to the other side of the isthmus and go to Playa de las Canteras - vastly better beach, facilities and restaurants.

Situated near the marina. Used more by locals and folk with boats. Very picturesque. Ideal if looking for peace and quiet. Toilets, showers and cafe's near by.

The only days I recommend this beach is when it’s to windy and or to cold on las canteras beach, nearby the port the water quality is not so good, also u have some homeless people hanging around there all day. Toilets and changing rooms available, For beach volleyball it is the perfect place.

This beach is on the east side of the island. Not as populair as the west side. So there are not that many bars/restaurants etc. But the beach is nice. Also to walk allong side on the semi boulevard. Unfortunately there is a busy road right next to it...

We walked this beach area from the port to the Old Town area. Being January not many people about but in the warmer weather one could imagine it being very busy obviously lots of water sports / activity’s happen here, must be very colourful when all the sail boats are out skimming over the water.
We enjoyed our walk on a nice sunny morning .
