Wonderful area just to people watch

We enjoyed this area to sit and watch the world go by, have a nice cup of coffee. There were shops all around and there is the Museum nearby to go to. Peaceful area.

Even with the carnival is a good place to stay and relaxing. Nice bars and restaurants. Nice places to sit and rest and also nice place to see the harbour view

We stopped here to visit the tourist bureau and then enjoyed a cup of coffee at one of the cafes in the park. It is a great people watching place. A short rest then then you're off the the beach of Las Canteras.

It is a pretty average place. There is a nice statue of a cat lady who was a Las Palmas benefactor, but nothing else. I'm not sure why is this such a hyped attraction. Buses and taxis depart from here so location wise it can be considered quite central and important, but tourist attraction wise is nothing special here.

Most of the buses around the city and on to the other attractions on the island run from the bus station there, others go from San Telmo. Get a carnet of tickets for the yellow buses around the city, works out at one euro per journey which is excellent value. Blue buses take you out of the city, try the... More

We arrived into Las Palmas off the bus in this park and ended up passing along it and through it most days. If you walk into the town inland rather than along the seafront you will find this park many times. There is a technology museum and a way to cross over to the Ferry harbour through the park and... The Parque de Santa Catalina means different things to different people, the locals see it as a meeting point, somewhere to walk the dog without leaving any trace that they've done so, a place to have a game of cards or dominoes and a major bus interchange point. For the tourists it has the tourist office, the office of the... More

Cheap market, almost all being uninspired clothes on the day we visited. As far as I could tell the park is rows of trees set in concrete paving - no grass. You can walk there in 20 mins from the road with the big El Corte Ingles and you can go from Santa Catalina Park to the commercial shopping centre... More

We walked from San Telmo, along the beach promenade, and after buying something to eat at CC El Muelle we sat down at a bench in Parque de Santa Catalina where we ate our lunch and rested our leg, while enjoying the view. The Parque is located close to the beach. After eating we continued on our way towards Las... More

Also an outdoor bar on the top. Swans and fish in a pond, and many familiar flowers and plants. Spring water.
