Great place to visit, spent 3-4 hours in all. Seemed clean and tidy. Many of the animals are placed here by the authorities when they are seized as illegal pets, so it's a wildlife sanctuary rather than a zoo.

Writing a review to provide some balance to the other reviews.

Realistically you won't get to Cocodrilo by public transport as it is remote although a taxi from Playa del Ingles was about 25 Euro so not too expensive. There is a mythical free bus but I couldn't find any details of it and you could bus and taxi but from a cost/benefit viewpoint we didn't bother.

It is small and our 2 year old and 3 year old toddlers were over it after an hour and as we were at the exit anyway we left. Animals appear well cared for and there are a lot of crocs, other reptiles and snakes but not so many other animals.

We saw the bird feeding time which was very Latin. Super loud music was continually played for some reason and then the 'presenter' shouted over it into a tannoy. Was so glad we weren't locked into the cage with the birds and it felt completely unnecessary and I was concerned for the children's hearing as well as my own. Surely this isn't good for the animals either. Similar loud and incomprehensible announcements as you walk around the park.

We didn't go to the restaurant but looked like standard chicken nuggets and chips fare so I wouldn't get your hopes up there.

Perhaps with older children you could make a day of it but think about going with toddlers.

Seeing the rescued animals being well looked after. Enjoying being able to be up close when they have the interaction sessions and learning why they have been rescued. Excellent, helpful caring staff. This was our 5th visit and plan on returning on our next trip to Gran Canaria. Well done everyone.

My children and us enjoyed very much this park, they care for their animals, and you can feel that. The tiger was wat catched my attention, beautiful Bengala tiger.
The crocodilen didn't see to be hungry but that is also the way it is, don't expect this to be a show but more like a learning day about animals and why we need to protect them.
Also nice at the end of the day to get an icecream or a hotdog. prices are very afordable.

Attended here on a Friday arrived at 10:30 and stayed til 3:00. Absolutey brilliant it was. €9 per adult so cheap and worth every penny! Soon as u enter the park theres crocodiles straight away, alligators, tiger, monkeys, leymurs, birds, iguanas, baby fox, pigs, tortoises etc literally EVERYTHING!! & huge snakes!!The staff do interactions shows were u can have your photo taken and get up close and have a good look these included Comelians, Iguana’s and baby crocs. The shows were; Bird show with them walking around your feet and watch out for the Iguana’s they was right by your feet with the birds, Ape show, reptile show, Tiger show and Crocodile show. They brought out a big tortoise and you could stroke his feet and shell!! The crocodile show was brilliant so entertaining to watch and no extra charge for the shows everything is included in the €9!

Food/drinks very cheap only €2 for chips and it was a big portion what could feed 3 people. Staff so lovely and friendly and the lady in reception was so pleasant and sorted everyone out with taxi’s and made sure everyone was in order to get there taxi’s. If i could recommend a place to go to if coming to Gran Canaria it would be here!!

Should not be called rescue center, since the animals didn't come to a better place, they are still being exploited and stressed.

Last minute decision to go. Thought be there an hour tops.....3 hours later.

Very reasonably price to enter and is larger than you think. However reasonably flat and plenty of space.

These are animals that have been rescued. Around the park and during shows they explain why rescued. It is clear these animals are well cared for with plenty of space.

Shows are between 12 and 2 and worth going to. Staff provide commentary in Spanish and English and are really informative

Would recommend

This animal rescue centre was definitely worth visiting. The entrance fee is very reasonable and you are helping to support their rescue work and care of the animals. In general, the enclosures were spacious and interesting for the animals. They are very clear they are not a zoo. They re-home exotic animals from crocs to parrots. My family, with older teens, enjoyed our visit. There’s a great cafe too to help with the heat. Excellent visit!
