An absolute dive of a place full of drug dealers and grimey bars and eatieries. Gives Gran Canaria a bad name unfortunately. Never go here and you will the island is actually a great place

We visited this beach as it were close to our hotel. Not as crowded as the Ingles beach in Gran Canaria, just a handful of visitors with plenty of space. I spotted just one nude person but heard later that it is actually a nudist beach.

We really liked this beach. I had read a few reviews on tripadvisor after a local mentioned it was a compleye nudist beach. We went and found that about half of the people were wearing swimsuits.
The beach was lovely and tranquil, however, the sea was very rough and extremely dangerous so we were limited to a paddle.

Just five minutes away from the center of Valle Grey Rey, the Playa del Ingles offers spectacular views, a friendly vibe and--for the more adventurous traveller--a place to sleep. Many of La Gomera's hobo make their temporary homes in small nooks and caves, high up in the rocks. During the day, the mood on the beach is downright friendly and clothing is optional. Do be aware the beach is very rocky and there are rip tides, so you may not want to venture out to far in the water. Otherwise: paradise.

If you like a peaceful beach, surround with rocks, where you can sunbath and swim naked... you must be here. Also people were colthes, but the most people don't...
If you want to swim, it's good to buy/take swimshoes with you, because the tieds are very strong and there's no sand on the seebottom, only big and small rocks.

We visited Vale Gran Reye for one day from Playa Santiago. We went along to Playa del Ingles to see what it was like not knowing it was a nudist beach. We arrived at the beach
and on the left where lots of ovals surrounded by small walls of stones each occupied by a person sunbathing. The one nearest to us, at the entrance, was occupied by a nude woman lying on her back, reading a book, with her legs and undercarriage in such a position and view that would have been excellent for a doctor to examine her "down below" - as they say! We pulled our eyes away from that and to the sea front where a nude man with a huge paunch was walking a tiny dog. The beach was beautiful - clean black sand and big crashing waves. Known to the locals as the beach of the pigs!

This is a very dangerous place to swim as 27 people have died here the last 10 years.
The vawes are really big and wild. The only safe place to swim is the harbour beach in Vueltas. The only reason to go here is if you want to sunbathe in the nude.
The beach is very small but it is possible to spread out.
You can be nude or have a swimsuit. It is very relaxed.
There are no facilities. There is a small parking lot.
It seems that people have mixed it up with Palya Ingles on Gran Canaria. It is rather confusing to read the reviews.

I was very unimpressed. Tacky shops, little culture, full of older people. The beach is not great, walk to another one and faced with old men swinging their tackle around, didn't need to see that lol...

Valle Gran Rey and the Playa del Ingles was one of the greatest places we visited on La Gomera. The surf is fantastic during the day and the cafés and restaurants on the short sea front walk inviting. The place is full of hippie descendants who run little shops and perform a drums and fire-art session in the dusk. The atmosphere has something of a long ago memory of past times, open minded times. Granted, this is not the place for uptight or scary people. Have the guts and enjoy the wave shaking swim!

Are there any nice beach bars where I could take my partner for a birthday breakfast?
