It is true that the Construction is curious but they charge you to enter even if it is two euros per person... in a place where there is only one lady at the window collecting money, no security guard or anything. It should be free to access.
On the same property, it is not indicated, but next to the parking lot, to the left there is a fairly large cave (photo attached)
I attach a nice photo of the place in case you want to save the trip.

One of the most spectacular buildings of the Talayotic age. 3000 years old, located just 300 meters from a main road, with a parking area and fax access. Highly recommended visit

I find it hard to give a rating for such ancient history, as if it were just another tourist attraction, for this is more than a tourist attraction, it's so ancient that you and I are just another passing speck of dust in it's millennia, so what star do you give an incredible, wonderfully constructed and shaped burial tomb, 3000 years old. We can't give it a 1 star because it doesn't have 'entertainment value' or a shop, or toilets and so on, it just is what it is, a portal for reflection on our ancient past, a structure to marvel at, to wonder about, a catalyst for thoughts about how our ancestors lived, and died, and how we thought about each other.
I was surprised that there was a charge to be honest, albeit nominal at €2 each, but if that money helps to protect and maybe even preserve the monument, then I'm OK about that. Equally the leaflets given out to every visitor are worth it, well translated and full of solid basic information so that it isn't just a pile of stones.
We were lucky, as when we were there one other couple were leaving, giving us time alone in the presence of the building. We were able to just stand and absorb and consider time, it's almost impossible to truly imagine that this tourist Menorca was giving life and love and joy to peoples and cultures we will never ever know but only guess about.
As I stood on the limestone pavement upon which this tomb was built, and watched the clouds scudding overhead, and felt the heat from the baking sun and watched birds flit from bush to bush, I was there with them, I was experiencing the same environment (to a degree) and I suddenly felt a connection, our eyes saw the same landscape and skies, our ears heard the same silence and bird song. I couldn't have done this with anyone else around, I needed the peace and solitude to allow my mind to wander.
I peered inside the dark two layered tomb, a tomb which really does resemble an upturned boat. I allowed my eyes to get used to the darkness, a feat in the glaring hot sunshine. I lay on the smoothed limestone to get as close as I could to the modern metal blockade, tragically but understandably essential, but definitely a hinderance to being 'in' the place of the dead. It was so cool inside and even the bird calls muffled. I stood back and pondered once more, and was really VERY glad I had visited, and the €4 between us seemed like nothing.
For some this will be a waste of money, for some a ten second visit to pile of nonsense, but to others, they will appreciate it's incredible rough but beautiful shape, appreciate what it represents and for a short while at least, might make a connection though place, to people long gone but who would have loved the same place.

This ancient burial chamber has been substantially restored, and is certainly interesting to look at (and imagine the creepy interior), but it is the only thing to see here, so your visit will be pretty quick. Worth a stop if you’re nearby anyway, but I’m not sure I would make a special trip. We combined it with some nearby sites to make for an interesting day

we came here out of season and it was free.
we had the place to ourselves and spent about half an hour taking photos and pondering why out ancestors decided to build such a structure and how they did it with such limited tools! no mean feat that's for sure.
I liked this site although there are others on the island that have more to offer in variety but none quite like this.

Very easy to find, right off the road, and very much worth the stop! Interesting piece of history that we had no idea existed on the island!

La Naveta des Tudons, is an Incredible place. A collective grave that dates 1000 years B.C !!!! It looks like an upside down ship and is a MUST SEE on the Island. Due to so many constructions of this kind, Menorca is a candidate for 2016 as an Archaeoloigcal Heritage site. Don't miss it!!!!

Easy to find being immediately on the main Me-1 road along the island and decent parking. The tomb itself is a couple of minutes walk along a path through working farmers fields. However, whilst the tomb itself is an impressive bit of construction, it's all that is there and you'll spend no more than 10 minutes or so checking it out before returning to the car and moving on. I think this is probably something to do and take a quick look\stop at when on the way to\from somewhere else on the island.
