- KBHKHong Kong, China89 contributionsGorgeous BeachI travelled by public bus from Cala’ n Bosch to Cala Turqueta . Took #65 to Ciutadella (2.05 Euros) and then #68 to Turqueta (5.15 Euros each way) The buses are very handy as they arrive/depart a few metres apart in Ciutadella. If you have time to spare, the cafe right next to bus kiosk is very good for snacks, food and drinks. I would advise booking your bus to Turqueta the day before as there are only a few buses each day at this time of year. It’s also advisable to book your return at the same time too. Someone did turn up in Turqueta for the return leg- he didn’t have a ticket, the bus was full and he wasn’t allowed on. Not sure what you do in situations like this as it is quite remote and the next bus was about 3 hours later! It is well worth the trip though. Crystal clear waters with fish coming up to the shoreline. It is busy but even so it’s natural charms shone through. Loved it! Initially, I was a bit concerned about the 15 minute walk to the beach from the bus stop and feared it might involve scrambling over rocks, however it was more a gentle stroll along a dirt track, most of which was shaded by trees. No clambering involved! The return journey is uphill but nothing too arduous . I would just make sure you get to the bus stop on time.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten October 9, 2023
- supongo2016Brighton, United Kingdom44 contributionsA trip worth takingThe beautiful natural bay and turquoise sea is absolutely worth the complication of the limited bus service. You can get there but do reserve places on the minibus both ways as even in October people were turned away, Its a 15-20 minute walk from the carpark where the bus stops. There's a small cafe in the carpark where you can buy drinks and snacks. The area is popular for walkers so the public maps are a little complicated. Just head straight down and you'll get to the lovely , pristine beach.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 19, 2023
- EM12345 contributionsLovely but very busy!We caught the bus which was straightforward (you need to book your tickets online). You get dropped off at the car park and there is a nice cafe there. Beautiful but very busy beach. Slightly off putting smell as you enter the water (possibly from the weed?) But overall a nice afternoon. Walk back to the bus is uphill but nothing too difficult. Unfortunately all 4 of us got bitten on the walk back up so maybe take some insect repellant. It was the last day of our holiday and insect bites had not been a problem until then.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 27, 2024

We sailed along the South Coast in our hire boat from Cala Galdana. This was by far our favourite cove between Son Saura and Santo Tomas. It certainly lives up to its name, the colour of the water is so vibrant. We anchored up here and swam. Biats cannot access the beach. Its quieter than the popular beaches Macarella and Mitjana, but that's part of it beauty.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Menorca. There are quite few in reality due to the overcrowding; fortunately very well managed by the Menorcan authorities. On the other hand, be in the parking lot (as for the two other neighboring beaches) before 10:30 a.m. in May. I can't imagine July August
As soon as the car park is full, tourists arriving by car 3 km away are advised by staff and information to turn around! Frustrating. But if managed well, the beaches would literally be invaded.
Like everywhere, excess tourism is becoming almost uncontrollable. This is the problem of Menorca, which remains a very beautiful destination

Beautiful beach. You have to go early around nine in the morning because otherwise the parking lot will fill up. From where you leave the car you walk for about 10 minutes through nature until you reach the cove which is beautiful with an immense blue

The cove would also be beautiful if it were not already full of people at 9:30 in the morning. But the worst thing is the coming and going of boats. Most of them stop just the time of a dip and then leave for other shores. Unfortunately in mid-morning a SHIP arrived that unloaded I don't know how many people, greatly increasing the mess on the beach and in the water. In addition, unlike other coves, there is no bar and restaurant service on the beach, so you must bring food and drinks before you get there (there are chemical toilets, however).

I recommend it without hesitation, for me it is one of the best coves on the island. You have to go soon because it's not very big and it fills up right away. How its name indicates its water is turquoise blue, do not tire of looking at it.

We went at the end of season so it was really quiet which was what we needed at the time. A lot of the bars and restaurants were closed and as we were leaving on the 31st October the whole island was basically shutting down. As the island is small it makes sense to hire a car and tour around as there is plenty to see and do.

August: too many, too many, too many people.
Mass tourism. At 8am the car park is already full, so avoid wasting time. In any case, from a certain time, hordes of tourists will arrive by bus, in order to cover every inch of the beach. Obviously the water is crystal clear, everything is wonderful but... with a limited number of places perhaps! I would add: I would also put some controls in place, since there are "people" camping on the beach at night... I'll leave you to imagine the result.

Beautiful beach, the sea has fantastic colors, tending to turquoise. We arrived very early in the morning, because the beach is very popular and is not very wide. It is not an equipped beach, free parking. From the car park you walk for about 20 minutes on foot. Wonderful beach, a natural pool. Recommendation to everyone to go there.

One of the most famous beaches in Menorca is therefore one of the most crowded. We opted for the bus (you need to book it online because it is very small and has limited seats) because the car park fills up early in the morning and we had a good time.
Unfortunately, given the many boats that arrive, it gets very full, so finding a place is difficult
Colors and wonderful sea.

Is the path from the car park suitable for pushchairs?
