A visit to ciudadella town without strolling down SES VOLTES is like going to ROME without visiting St Peter's square. It is a must for any visitor young and old, because the narrowness of the street reminds you of the old town 300 years ago. With the other old palaces, cathedrals, forts and the old windmill(apparently the last surviving in menorca) really captures the flavour of the old spain in it's entirety. You can almost visualise the spanish captains off the ships harboured in the old port and gentlewomen and gentlemen going about their business.

We visited the town twice and found it a lovely little place. Lots of shops with some great gifts and great cafes. We sat in the sun in the main square relaxing.
The streets can be a little uneven under foot but well worth a visit.

Lovely buildings to wonder through though perhaps not the best bit of town - still worth a stroll. Shopping and eating very variable! Had a light snack at 'Gross 24' where the food was excellent and the Sangrai the best - and you could relax and people watch!
However beware of the tourist tat!

This is a few streets in the centre of the beautiful old part of Ciutadella which are lined with arched promenades, offering architectural interest as well as shade from the midday sun. There are various shops, mainly souvenirs and crafts, as well as one or two tapas bars and the like. It is a very pleasant way to spend an hour or two, whether just watching the world go by or exploring the narrow lanes of the old town.

We visited Ciutadella in late October so it was much quieter and enjoyed a nice stroll through The Arches admiring all the old architecture. There are plenty of shops to look in and plenty of food shops with samples outside for you to try (Cheeses and Meats).

We enjoyed an extremely reasonably priced pizza dinner in this lovely rooftop restaurant during our stay in Cala Santandria. The staff were attentive and accommodating, the service was great and the food was fab. Should we ever be in Ciutadella again we will definitely go back. The restaurant is laid out over quite a few floors (but there is a lift), the ground floor being a tapas restaurant and the upper floors serving pizza (and pasta I think). We sat outside on the roof top restaurant and it was very pleasant indeed. Pizzas x 5, desserts x 2 and drinks (beer and wine) for a family of 5 - 65 euro. Very reasonable and highly recommended

Es zona peatonal, pero puedes dejar el coche a unos cincuenta metros, dependiendo del mes te será más fácil o difícil, en agosto es bastante complicado, en invierno es muy fácil.
