right in the centre of the old town, this is one of those narrow winding streets, that, on the one hand offer shelter form the afternoon sun, and on the other hide interesting shops, bars and restaurants.

One of the more enjoyable part of town. Shops, bars and restaurants can all be found in and around the area. Plenty of architecture around and a perfect place for some people watching

The old part of Ciutadella is built to withstand the summer heat and here is where these arches are so nice. They not only make it a very cosy and nice experience to walk and sit by but also protect from sun (and the few rain I guess as well)

We had driven from Mahon to Ciutadella on a day trip.and after having parked up, we wandered the streets, shops and then the water side. It was a lovely day and very warm and we needed a drink and lunch. The 'Honey Traps' along the harbour side were very busy but hd no appeal for us on his day and we found Ses Voltes quite near to the Cathedral. It has a downstairs bar/restaurant and an upstairs patio style. We elected downstairs and had a very pleasant lunch served by a very efficient young lady. There was no pressure to get up and leave when we had finished and we would certainly visit there again, when next in town.

So tonight we really fancied a paella but didn’t know where to go and hadn’t booked anywhere either. Walking past this restaurant we knew instantly it would be a good choice, very busy and a wide Range of choice on the menu. From start to finish, the meal was amazing. Chilli flavoured olives and tomato bread for a start followed by the amazing paella. That should have been enough but we were then tempted by the cheesecake (to share). Rioja and house white with lots of water on the side made for a great night...so good that we have booked to go back in a few days time.
