Our first time to Menorca and what a really pleasant surprise! My wife has been to Majorca and describes it as rather like Blackpool, only warmer. First impressions of Mahon are of a laid back, classy city with boutique style shops, cosy narrow little streets you feel you could get lost in and that ever present excitement that always surrounds... We have visited Mahon twice when on holiday in Menorca, definitely worth a visit as it has lots of lovely cafes and restaurants to have lunch. Port is great attraction and boat tours are reasonably priced. We got the bus into Mahon, both times they were pretty crowded so try to either go earlier or perhaps afternoon as quieter then.

What a lovely place. A must see if visiting Menorca. Filled with many shops and unique cafes Mahon Port is super. Historically there are many buildings to look at and the architecture is stunning. Quirky little books and crannies. Delightful tapas and the most stunning harbour which makes the sea lol like it goes on forever. A train is available... More

The harbour is a great place for a stroll. If you are lucky there will be some amazing boats for you to see. There are many shops selling various things. Restaurants and bars a plenty. It's a great place to stop for lunch and watch the world go by.

We were on a catamaran tour of the harbour and had a guide who had an amazing knowledge of the history of the various buildings. it was fantastic well worth the trip over to the other end of the island. The town had a great variety of shops and restaurants, well worth a day out.

Good holiday nice hotel very clean. Food nice and plentiful. Not enough sun beds. Love Menorca. The staff are excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Our room 236 wasn't great no balcony and room very small

So much worth going on a cruise round the harbour in the glass bottomed boat. Much history to view and a good commentary. The cruise was about an hour. The quayside is modern but the streets around high, narrow and interesting.

Has everything from multimillionare yachts moored at the casino to harbour tour boats and just dripping with history (at one time it was a Royal Navy base!) Good views and a nice harbourside restaurant, however, its a long climb back up into town!
