Sublime village limed in sparkling white with its tiny alleys to walk. Of course choose your schedules because overtourism (so early morning quiet) WARNING: do not take the restaurants in the main pedestrian street they are huge, crowded warm with a permanent parade level with your table When you arrive at this street enter on the right (climb the few steps) into a beautiful complex crammed with small corners, nooks, shady inner courtyard with shops and restaurant. It's really charming and much less populated Ideal: go up to the top floor and choose your small restaurant with shaded terrace and sea view

Village built in the 60s, is a false fishing village created for tourist purposes; its white houses, narrow alleys, recall places of the Greek islands. The result is wonderful, on a sunny and clear day the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea give particular prominence to the white houses. Often you will see, attached to the walls of houses, signs saying "Silencio por favor", to try to protect the tranquility of those who stay there.

Well, just a picturesque town, overrated and apparently the neighbors are quite bothered when you go to visit it, so you don't miss anything out of this world either... Maybe I shouldn't have gone...just an urbanization, not even little Santorini, not a fishing village or anything, just another tourist invention... These people should be allowed to rest in their homes.... Menorca is a natural paradise, a disservice is done to it by the overexploitation of some private urbanizations, which also do not want to show themselves and that their right to privacy in their homes is respected. Expendable

Beautiful village full of signs “Silence, please” on the walls. It was a different experience, walking through those narrow streets and seeing how careful people were not to make noise. The village is beautiful and picturesque. It's worth visiting if you come to Menorca.

The village is cute it's true, the amazing view. On the other hand, there is a clear recent reluctance (totally understandable) of locals to see their village invaded by noisy tourists. We quickly went around the village. The beach is overcrowded, not really pink. Count 1h30 on the old village, and discover a wild beach. In short, it would be a shame not to go and make a jump while being in Menorca, for all that is quickly seen.

BInibeca Vell is a beautiful village in the south of Menorca. Very picturesque, with tiny, bright white houses and small, meandering and very narrow streets. If I was already in the middle of October, I don’t want to imagine how it must be in July-August. And everywhere, signs recommending silence and respect. Honestly, I put myself in the skin of the residents in BInibeca and I am looking forward to seeing them end already with the visits. Highly recommended for those who do not know you and why you have an expiration date

A charming place! A small town with white houses that are traversed like a maze. And it must be done quietly at the request of the neighbors. It's like being in another country. The most beautiful town in Menorca in my opinion.

OK it's cute because it's all white but we quickly get around it We understand that it is not very authentic, half of the houses belong to a tourist complex The café terraces at the entrance give the impression of a tourist trap Damage Photo locations for Instagrammers

TERRIBLE.
We had made a reservation for 2 nights through booking. While the amount had been paid when we arrived at the reception they asked us for extra money because we were tourists. During the whole time we were trying to find a solution they also lied to us by giving us to speak from their own phone to someone who was supposed to be from booking and he was yelling us to pay.
In contact after with booking, they confirmed that no one from the hotel has contacted them. They confirmed us that if we didn't pay the tax they wouldn't give us the key to the room.
So having no other choice being in a foreign country we had to pay the amount but also accept the irony and the lies. This place must be closed.

I came with great enthusiasm after several friends had considered it. Total disappointment. It's a fake! Something like Sleeping Beauty's castle in the Disney parks. In other words, everything is false. They call BINIBECA VELL a construction that is the least similar to a fishing village, built in the 60s! And then signs, tiles, constant requests for silence... They occupied even the very edge of the water, something unthinkable today, a spectacular virgin landscape and now they are bothered by the noise of tourists... Well, garlic and resin.

Room 21 smells of mold, rust in the tub, in Italy it would not have the requirements to remain open: room height 2.50, French bed 1.40 for a double, only a bedside table because nothing else fits. The double bedroom is 2.50 by 2 meters.
The air-lighting coefficient is very low, the window is very small where the stench from the restaurant below enters. I asked to change rooms but the answer was that it is impossible because they are full. €1400 for a week room only without breakfast.

Deceptive Whitewashed traditonal Spanish Fishing Village.
Step away from the main road of Restaurants/Cafes/Shops and go now one of the narrow alleys leading down to the harbour and you'll be surrounded by traditional white washed houses over looking the small quaint harbour.
I can imagine this place gets really busy in peak season when more restaurant are open. At the end of October your choices are limited but the old village is beautiful.

Total disappointment, town closed by fences and they don't let you visit it. You come with all the enthusiasm because everyone who has visited it before says that it is beautiful and you arrive at the place and see that you can no longer enter or do anything. You can save the visit here.

We scheduled a visit with the company "excursiones Menorca".
We visited the port of Maó and then went to Binibeca.
It is a wonderful place where we can easily get lost both contemplating the sea and wandering through the strict, winding Muslim-style streets.
It was an unforgettable experience, partly thanks to our guide Paolo Girelli who enchanted us with his knowledge of the island as well as his delightful sense of humor!

There are lovely coastal walks all around here. There are very limited amount of restaurants and most are very expensive. The place itself is worth a visit but if you're staying locally you'd need a car as it can be be very quite. The only good restaurant I'd recommend would be delaneys which is a stroll from the actual vell. Prices and portions are much better here.

Very small town to take a walk. It is picturesque although not essential since the island offers better places to visit if you are short on time. In December everything is closed although it is great to go since there is almost no tourism.

Nice little stop off, with plenty of opportunity to take great photos and dine alfresco. Lovely little place, very popular with fellow tourists. Not much to do here, so worthy of a few hours only, perhaps whilst touring the coast. Very pleasing to walk around and enjoy the unique vista and close by bays.

A very big plus in my book.
My wife and daughter arranged this family week away with no reference to their husbands (hence the trouble free holiday).
We all wanted a very lazy week in a Villa with it's own pool and that is exactly what we got. Binibecca Vell is very quiet. Lovely and quiet. Not suitable for a stag or hen party unless the couple getting married are in their 80s or 90s but exactly what we wanted and needed to de-stress.
There are some shops and eateries in the village proper -about a 5 minute slow walk from our place and coastal rocks to clamber over if you feel the need and a small beach about 10 minutes walk heading east.
Both lovely and relaxing. To be honest after the shorter walk, a couple of beers and the walk back we just flopped down in or near our good sized pool and watched the kids playing and trying to drown their dad.
Plenty of contact with the local rep, Gayle, who was friendly and helpful with her local knowledge.
Easy bus to Mahon for shopping and then home again so that us men could get our stress levels down again.
This resort lies just south of Mahon Airport so easy and speedy transfer and suprisingly little aircraft noise. Not enough noise to cause concern anyway. Very quiet planes built nowadays.
House points awarded to VillaPlus who treated us to a lunch whilst a plumber cleared a blocked toilet. A very rare problem according to regular visitors. (The blocked loo not the lunch)
I would go again and use the same company but maybe somewhere livelier for a longer break.
I'd also try for a property near the coast like ours, we saw some further back but the walk was a bit steep for older plodders like me.
