Have been to Menorca several times but hadn’t been there before. Well worth a visit- lots to see and explore with a nice cafe at the lighthouse. You can park very close to the lighthouse. Take a torch or phone with a torch to explore the tunnel

We came for a short visit to the lighthouse and the most Northern point of Menorca.
What a view and outstanding drive across the nature reserve - you should not miss it!

I come every year to Menorca, that is the best island of Baleari. This year I visited Cala Cavalleria, in the northern part of the island, close to Fornells. Parking is available close to the beach. No food provided there, so you have to bring it with you (remind not to leave traces of your stay! It is a natural beautiful site to preserve).
I strongly suggest you a visit here because this red sand beach is enchanting. Recently the access has been facilitated by a wood stair that brings you from the street to the beach. The site is part of the Biosphere Reserve, so you can see a beautiful sea life here. Another highlight is the possibility to spread your body with a mud made with the red earth and sea water. This treatment is very healthy for the skin. Try to trust it! If you want to have a look of the beach you can visit this website (English available too) . http://hotelesmenorca.net/sp_castellano/playas_de_cavalleria_cala_pregonda_cala_mica_mercadal_menorca.html

We went here not expecting much, but we actually had a great day! The surrounding of the lighthouse is very beautiful with plenty of places to get photos. You can also go inside the lighthouse (cost money) and go inside a cave! There is also a snack bar and toilets here, which is very handy as there aren’t any services around this area! As well as that, there are a few gorgeous, secluded (and sandy) coves nearby that we enjoyed better than the main beaches due the amazing snorkelling and quietness!

It offers a vast view of the Northern coast. Accessible by car but we recommend a walk up hill to enjoy the view. How refreshing to taste cold beer after a walk to the lighthouse. Toilet with the best view in the world at the lighthouse.

Cap de Cavalleria is definately THE place to enjoy the sunset in Menorca. The sun drops in the sea from mid-July to August and the unique scenery of steep cliffs and coves makes the whole experience even more dramatic. Some tips: make sure you choose a day with clear skies; there are usually clouds in the horizon which block the sunset and which you only spot once it´s too late. Try to find a place to sit down towards the edge of the cliffs and, if possible, distant from the hoards of tourists with their cameras ready to click; it can be very noisy! And finally, make sure you stay there after the sun disappears; this is when the sky turns red and violet and purple and it is most spectacular.

Well worth a visit. Walk upto the lighthouse, lots of little paths to follow with great views. Go inside the little cave to look out over the rocks. VERY windy so hold onto hats & glasses!! Really enjoyed thecwalk.

We stopped by to see the lighthouse and we loved it very much. Amazing views of the coast and surrounding. The lighthouse looks great, we didn't go in as we were not that bothered. There's a "pirates cave" which at the end there is a small opening to view the ocean. There is also some old cannons site (no cannons on show) and a coffee shop to have a refreshment or an ice cream. A lovely place to visit.

Lovely spot, the views are magnificent and the coastline is very rugged, plenty of opportunity to walk out in either direction from the car park and a cafe and toilets make for a comfortable drive back!

The most northern point of Menorca is the Cap of Cavalleria (Far de Cavalleria). Fantastic lighthouse which you can drive right up to. Amazing views, car park and a cafe but not commercial - just lovely.

Gracias a quien me ayude!!!

Hi do you know if the small cafe and the eco museum has reopened. When we visited last year the road was closed and the museum and cafe were shut down

It did indeed, a few months ago. I haven't seen it yet but personally know one of those who manage it nowadays
