This was once the entrance through the Roman wall around Palma. It was here that people walked on their way to the harbor and it was here that the city tax was collected. The gate has been rebuilt over the years and what we see today dates back to the Middle Ages. Worth seeing.

This very charming archway is part of the gates to the old city, evoking a very ancient time. It leads to a narrow street with its own charms, the heart of old Palma. I found this as I wandered the old town.

All the area around the Arco is from the 13 - 15 century. The Almudaina street is very close to the Jewish Call (guettto) active until 1435. The street, like many others in this area, keeps the charm and original features. It is like traveling back in time. The arch was part of the roman walls and one of the gates.

Wonderful architecture in old Palma. Highlight this wonderful City. Nearby is the Jewish Quarter that is full of historic and interesting buildings.

I am amaze how beautiful this historic place is. They kept it very clean and beautiful. You could never get lost with the alleys as you end always in another place. It gives you the back of the days feels.

Medical arch so nice to see nestled in the architecture. We walked on our way to Santa Eulalia and the only info I know about it was mainly online. I’m sure if you had time to do a walking
