No one responds to my emails or phone calls about a refund as I paid twice for a trip for my entire family because the website crashed when I was booking. I'm very disappointed. Bad customer service!

The journey from Palma to Sóller is one hour, but it is really pleasant and short while admiring the incredible landscape of the Tramuntana Mountains. The view of the town of Sóller from the train is wonderful. We combine it with the tram that goes to Puerto de Sóller, it is worth it. The only downside is that since it was August there were a lot of people, both on the train and afterwards visiting the town and the port. Important: you have to buy the ticket in advance, they do not sell for the same day (at least not in high season).

it is a scam
Very expensive, €9/person for a local route that takes you to the port through the houses and orchards of the town
In short, a couple and two children 72 Euros for a round trip on a train with no interesting landscapes, although it is old.
Go walking, the port is very beautiful

We were on a guided tour, so we arrived in the town of Soller by bus and explored this gorgeous town for about an hour before boarding the train - one way train ride for us. Be sure to open your window on the train or it is stuffy. The ride is fun, passing through olive groves and beautiful hilly farmland. Lots of tunnels, one in particular is very long, seemed endless! Fun experience and a must for vintage train buffs.

I haven't been there yet. Here we go again! Two days to purchase tickets, countless emails and phone calls. Choosing this excursion (which was highly publicised) was a really bad idea!
I now receive an email a week after departure informing me of a change of train (it is not clear if it is still the panoramic one) with a relative unjustified and arbitrary change of seats chosen!
Absolute lack of professionalism and correctness.

I did this on a weekday with no tourist boats in Port, so the fellow travelers were well organized and civil. The left side forward-looking seat allowed for good views.
My dissapoinymenr as a single traveler was the slow speed to get to Soller, the slow speed of the trolley to Port of Soller, then the slow speed of the boat to Calobra. It did seem though that the groups of friends and the couples appeared to not have that issue. But, if you prefer more efficient travel, which I did on my return, I suggest you take the 204 bus.

The return fare for this trip to Soller will set you back 28 euros. Don't pay it,a few yards away is the bus station and the fare there and back is 8 euros. You need to get the 210. Don't get the 211 which is an express via the tunnel. The views from the 210 as it winds through the sierra tramuntano are much better than you get from the train. They are breathtaking. You will travel first to Valldemossa, A place worth seeing, you can visit Michael Douglas's Cultural Centre, see where Chopin and George Sands spent the winter, The bus then winds it's way to Deia, the home of the author, Robert Graves,. The bus then weaves over the mountains to Soller and then terminates at Soller Port. A truly spectacular bus journey. And you will have saved quite afew euros

Well worth doing, bus picks you up and takes you to Valdemosa in the mountains. there is a trip round the monastry which is quite interesting if you like that sort of stuff. You then travel further through the mountains to the port of Soller for lunch, followed by a tram trip to Soller which is very pleasant. Then you board the train back towards Palma stopping short of the town where the coaches take you back to your resort in time for the evening meal.

Lovely route from Palma to Soller. Tramontana mountains were stunning. Lovely walk around the village but....watch your purse/ wallet. Pickpockets are operating as we witnessed in the main area around the station.

Is there any possibility of a wheelchair user getting onboard to enjoy this train ride?

Sorry I can't honestly remember and that's something I should have noticed as I support people with disabilities. If the person can walk a short distance there are a couple of steps into the carriage. Try emailing.

We would like to get the bus back to Palma from Port de Sóller. Where does the bus drop you off in Palma? Is it close to the train station? Thanks!

Hallo!
Besteht die Möglichkeit Tickets ein paar Tage im vorhinein zu kaufen um sich das anstellen vor der Abfahrt zu ersparen?
Danke im vorhinein.

Where do we pick up train from Palma please
Written August 15, 2015
The station is on the north side of the Placa Espanya, to the left of the main train station (the Estacio Intermodal) for the trains that run up to the centre of the island. Bus Number 1 from the airport stops right beside it, by the way.
