I want to start with the booking through the Mallorca Private Tour Office. This was our first time in hiring an outside tour group other than what’s offered onboard ship. We found the costs fair for our group of 4 especially when you take into consideration the individual costs for the onboard large ship tours.
Willy and Alex at the Mallorca Private Tour Office were very professional in communicating online, answering all questions and arranging the tours for our group of four. Willy kept in constant touch via email not only coordinating three (3) exclusive four (4) hour tours in Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Cadiz but also making us comfortable in booking this way for the first time with emailing prior to each port to confirm the meeting places. Each guide met us after leaving the ship with no problems. With that said, Willy then took that extra step in calling each tour guide after we arrived to confirm we were met and to say “Hello”.
Each tour in each city was an experience that can only be seen through the eyes of the local guides having that “one on one” connection. Each guide’s professionalism, knowledge of their city’s history and area along with the love of their cities was very evident. We were lucky to have three delightful ladies as our tour guides in each city along with excellent drivers in very comfortable vehicles. Celia in Palma de Mallorca, Mikaela in Malaga and Lyliane in Cadiz individualized each tour tailoring them to our abilities and interests. Besides the major sites that we asked to see we were shown their favorite places that we might not have seen otherwise making the tours more unique. We also were able to stop at their favorite eateries to appreciate some of the local foods.
Hugs were shared all around at the end of each tour showing that “one on one” connection to each guide. The four of us agreed that we were very pleased in booking these three (3) “Delightful Tours with Unique Experiences” and based on our experience, we would not hesitate to book through Mallorca Private Tours in the future.

Alex Fraile is at the top of most amazing tour guides! Alex showed attention to detail in our booking requests and provided one the most amazing tours we've experienced in our many travels. Her knowledge, expertise, and organization of our tour was excellent. We were able to see many sights that we would otherwise not even know about. If you are in Mallorca, booking with Alex is a must!

Sara took us on a wonderful tour of Valdemossa and Soller. She provided great insights along the way as well as during our walks. It was unfortunate that the monastery was closed as of Nov 1st for the winter. However, we still had a nice tour.

We decided to stop for lunch at Cafe Soller, and that was a great treat.

Great tour to Valldemossa and Soler with Alex. She was fantastic, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. We had a great time and when we got dropped off in old Palma, she made a reservation for us at an amazing restaurant.
Can’t say enough
Highly recommend

I have booked many private tours in many countries and, without a doubt, this was the very worst. I understand from reading other reviews that this is not the norm for this company, but are you willing to take a chance that your tour may be one big disappointment?
To summarize as briefly as I can - over a year in advance of our visit, I read a charming review of a tour on this website. I contacted Alex and in each correspondence I mentioned "Valldemossa deja Soller with lunch in a restaurant with great sea views" specifically. I arranged the tour and formed a group with 6 other fellow cruisers. On the day of the tour we were met in the terminal by our guide - she never introduced herself (I asked her name), nor had any interest in knowing our names. I immediately inquired about the lunch plans and was brushed off with "I have your itinerary right here. No lunch is included. Everything is closed." I tried to communicate that we had every intention of paying for our own lunch and that we had expected that the stop would have been pre-planned. She again went on with her narration of the area. In Valdemossa she pointed out a few cafes where we could eat. Her English was extremely difficult to understand, and we made a few minor requests of her that she either ignored, or didn't understand. When we left Valdemossa, we again inquired about the "lunch with the sea views", she said she could bring us to the port for lunch When we arrived, we were escorted to a restaurant (using the term loosely) and handed grimy menus with photos of french fries and pizza. At that point it was approximately 1:30, the group was hungry and frustrated and requested to return to port. Our guide, Maite, phoned the owner, Alex Rotweiller. Alex wanted us to consider some other options. I polled the group while speaking with her and it was a unanimous decision to return to the ship, as the two previous options for the "lunch with sea views" had failed to materialize and our guide had obviously not been informed of our desires. I asked Alex how much we would owe her for the abbreviated tour and she became irate, saying she must pay her driver and guide, there would be no reduction since it was OUR choice to not consider her options and return to port. She herself was conducting another tour while speaking to me, and would not listen to our concerns.
Since the tour, I have made a concerted effort to resolve this with Alex via e-mail. We feel an acceptable solution would have been a reduction in the fee, for a tour not delivered as agreed. I have copies of every single correspondence, yet she claims that I had insisted we go to port, and that I had cancelled the lunch mentioned in the review because it was too expensive. She feels she does not owe us anything because WE terminated the tour rather than giving them yet another chance.
As an aside, the tour consisted of eight well-seasoned travelers who have extensive experience with private tours from all corners of the earth. Every single one of them wanted to return to the ship. Alex claims that our version of the story is "different" than the guide's. If you care to look at my review history, you will see that I rarely take serious issue with an experience. Everyone has a bad day, but when the provider fails to admit a failing or try to make amends to customers, that is just plain poor customer service.

Dear Dona Mahoney Mallorca Private Tour guides works hard to provide always the best service to our guests, flexibility is one of our targets and we don't haven problems to change programs even the day of the tour. But believe me is hard to work, when sometimes you find people that the only target is tolook for money back and don't have any other thing in mind than to write in trip advisor As you said, it is great to have copies of all the communications,we can upload it too telling us for money compensation or you will write this. After checking all the mails and knowing we make or job, we decide not to accept your threats and of course guests knows us, and WE NEVER PAY ANYONE to write or not write. You always says your are a travel agent(Making waves), a travel agent when plans a trip, do a research of what to see but the most important think about the weather, Mallorca has great weather but of course in November can be chilly and special if your option is going to the mountains, and opening times of restaurants when you are abroad, n Spain people never eat so earlier as can be made in other countries. So we were surprise to see how your group was dressed, specially in November, and I write this because this is the beginning of the problem, when youreached Valldemossa your group realised it is cold and there were not properly dressed, this can be the reason because some of them didn't want even to go down, and they request the tour guide to go back earlier to van or to take them in a warm place. It is true when yo contact me you told me about a review wrote by one of our guests, requesting Carlos and talking about a restaurant, I informed you Carlos is not a tour guide is a driver and he took 2 guests group, in summer and to one of the best restaurants o the island (I have the emails) In your mails you requested to do the same ride and to stop somewhere for lunch, without telling us where do you want the lunch or asking us to make a reservation for you, which we do often, something I don't understand if for you the restaurant was the most important thing on this tour, and special when the sea views are so important, most of people ask us to make the reservation and to ensure to have a good table(we do this often as I said which is not your case, and in your confirmation there is CLEARLY write no lunch included and itinerary no mention a restaurant reservations you recognised on your review your intention was paying for your own lunch, this clearly shows nothing has been pre arranged ) and as you wrote us this is the reason because the tour was so terrible, so my question now is our fault or yours...Anyway, for us guests, are more important than who is responsible so when we realised about the situation we called restaurants, giving you many options that you NEVER CONSIDER, in your mind was only BACK TO VESSEL AND MONEY COMPENSATION. This day, onboard Celebrity we run many groups and NO ONE had this problem, some of the wrote reviews in this trip advisor too.And many of them were doing same itinerary Why you only wanted to go back to vessel...maybe because it was too cold for the guests.... Mallorca is famous because its nice weather, but even it was a sunny day it was chilly to be dressed as summer considering we were in November and you were on the mountains. In your review you said the guide never introduce herself, you were revived at the ship gangway by your tour guide and by me, as all the groups leaving this day, and we both introduce you and shake you hands and the whole group. First thing we do is to check the itinerary we have and Maite asked you if you wanted to do a scenic drive with a photo stop in Cathedral area because it is nice and she considered it can be nice for the group, you were agree and you made it...I am surprised because as you write she speaks bad english and not taking care about you, she called lots of restaurants with her phone, with shows she really cared about you, trying to solve the restaurant problem( believe me a guide which doesn't care about guests will never do this). when yo arrived to Valldemossa of corse she was speaking about the place and options (This is a guide job) As you write in your review, In Valldemossa there are only a few cafes, is not right, there are many restaurants, even a 5 star hotel with restaurant but Valldemossa which you requested to see, declared world heritage by Unesco, as you said it was too cold and you wanted to leave earlier to go on with the scenic drive and lunch with sea views. Of course in Valldemossa there is no Sea view is a town on the mountains.(We never told you Valldemossa has sea views, as you describe first fault option for lunch) You made the scenic drive towards Port Soller the place yo requested for lunch, when you arrived there, many restaurants were closed, so the guide called several to check if they were open, Port Soller is a touristic resort so in low season you can expect things maybe will close. Also you need to consider you are in Spain restaurants open latter than Use, and as you said you were back 1,30 pm and you need to drive from port Soller to Palma, are we responsible for this too... Finally, she found one opened with sea views and told you, as you didn't like it she offers you to take you to Soller town, or Palma area which are not touristic resorts. places where locals are with plenty of excellent restaurant options, but you refused it and request to go back to vessel It is true Maite called me and I spoke to you giving you options and again you only request back to vessel and money. Is also true I was with another group but this is my job, and of course I was trying to explain you the things but yo were not interested. On the way back Maite took you through the Marina in Palma trying to show you there all the restaurants were open with sea views, and of course it was latter 13,15 so at this time restaurants in Spain are open for lunch, but only the answer she got from you it was back to vessel. As a travel agent I guess you will understand we rented a van, which was there, a guide which was doing her best, we follow the itinerary we tried to do the best for you if you decided to cut down the length of the tor because of weather and you wanted to eat so early considering Spain times for lunch, it is not or fault. It was a busy day so most of the vehicles and guides were working this day, if you decide to cut down the tour they need to be pay. We offer you to take you to other places, change itineraries, look for restaurants..can you explain us what we made wrong. A travel agent never will act in this way. Of corse or versions are going to be different and if we give you what you wanted, the money for something we are not responsible probably now I will not be writing this. But I think our guests, our way of working, all the tours we have made are our best reference. We always admit our mistakes and we try to solve them because we know we work with people in vacations, and we know how important are for our guests, how many illusions and work are involved, but when we found guests which the main target in to spoil our work because we didn't accept its threats, it can be hard but I guess its part of the job too. Dona we wish you all the best and we are sorry you didn't enjoy your tour, and it doesn't reach your expectations, and as we always said we are always at your disposal to make changes and help you but it is not possible to help someone that doesn't want to be helped. And if restaurants are so important for your groups, please believe me ask your provider to do a reservation for you in advance, in this way you will have always a booked table, great sea views, it will be open and it will not spoil your future trips. We were on a cruise ship that stopped in Palma de Mallorca in November 2014. We booked a 7 hour private tour with Mallorca Private Tour Guides, doing a tour which included Bellver Castle, Cathedral, Valldemossa and Deia. Our tour group comprised of 11 people, who signed up with us through the cruise ship roll call. We paid cash the day of the tour, and received a discount on one of the entrance fees thanks to the special agreement the company has with the venue.

Alex was prompt with all emails and was very helpful in proposing and detailing tour options. As the ship arrival and departure times had changed, we successfully arranged at the last minute to start the tour earlier to ensure we did not miss the ship. Alex and our guide met us at the pier at the earlier time.

Mallorca Private Tour Guides emphasizes that they will design a tailor made tour according to the clients' requirements and interests. I made a nearly impossible request, and Alex certainly made every effort to meet this request. Another thing I really like about this company is that, unlike other tour companies, they do not add people to the group.

Our guide, Maria Jose Rigo, was excellent! She was well organized, very knowledgable, and spoke English very well. We learned a great deal about the Cathedral and its Gaudi works, as well as Valldemossa where Frederic Chopin spent time in the carthusian monastery and where we also enjoyed a brief Chopin piano concert. In response to requests from the group, Maria Jose also arranged to deviate from the planned return route for a photo stop of the cathedral.

I actively sought feedback from this group after the tour and everyone was very happy, including one comment that it was the best tour they had ever taken. We were very pleased with our tour and highly recommend Mallorca Private Tour Guides. We will give Mallorca Private Tour Guides the ultimate compliment by booking another tour with them when we return to Palma de Mallorca in 2016.

Alex arranged an excellent day tour in Mallorca to coincide with our cruise ship visit. The process of designing the tour was eased by Alex giving very good selections of things to see. We decided on a mini bus for our party of 12 which took us to Palma's Cathedral and Castle for a photo stop, then on the train to Soller, tram to the port and then on to Valldemossa. We included a visit to the monastery and a Chopin recital which rounded off a perfect day.
Alex was a great guide throughout the day. We had free time at each stop, helped by Alex giving us pointers of things to do and see. We had our own carriage on the Soller train.
This gave us all a great feeling of Mallorca. All enjoyed the tour immensely.
I would recommend Alex and Mallorca private guides.

Our guide, Ana, was waiting for our group of 14 as we exited the cruise terminal. She is knowledgeable and provided a great experience during our tour of Mallorca. Thanks, Ana, for a great day in beautiful Mallorca.

Had a wonderful tour of Mallorca with our tour guide "Alex". She was so personable and knowledgeable. She was there to meet us at the ship and as asked, she put together a tour that enabled those who couldn't walk as much, to enjoy the city immensely. There was much correspondence between us so that she could learn our wants and needs. She was so accommodating.
Aside from having a wonderful experience, Alex knew it was my birthday and she had surprised me with a birthday cake. Kind, caring and considerate. Anyone going to Palma should book this guide immediately.
Would do this again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you Alex...

In Mid-September our group of 7 had the pleasure of touring Valldemossa and Mallorca with Eliana (guide). Our private 4 hour Scene of Mallorca tour was conducted in a recent, clean, and comfortable Mercedes mini bus and driven skillfully by our driver Ebai. Our guide Eliana was kind, thorough, easy-going, and accommodating. She allowed us to modify our itinerary on the spot and provided excellent guidance and recommendations in both cities. Despite the imposing rainy conditions, Eliana remained positive and provided our group with a gleeful experience. Thanks Eliana for a patience and humor with our group! At the conclusion of our tour we were dropped off right in front of our cruise ship. I highly recommend Mallorca Private Tour Guides for anyone looking for memorable experience in Mallorca.
