This mall i have visited several times due to its great location from the port but i have to admit i didnt realise how large it was until this visit. It has every thing i need and more. I can spend a couple of hours here and the time will pass and there is an adequate selection of restaurants and activities to occupy for longer

Nice shopping center but not big and boutiques are not many. Many restaurants and a cinema. This center is just ok, if you are looking for bigger shopping centers go to Fan Mallorca or Outlet mall

The shops are ok although not mind blowing. The big supermarket inside is very well stocked and prices are great. It’s located right by the port which can make an enjoyable walk.
I go to Mallorca yearly but I wouldn’t return there as there are definitely better options around the city.

I have just returned home from my trip to Palma and whilst there I visited Porto Pi shopping centre, I would def reccommend a visit if you enjoy all the usual spanish brands of fashion eg: Mango and Zara. However during a visit to a ladies shoe shop my mum was pickpocketed. She had an across the body bag with her purse inside and while she was trying on shoes someone removed her purse from her handbag while it was on her body. Looking back now there was a girl talking very loud on her mobile probably the distraction to let these scum perform their work!! Be really careful and be very vigilant at all times.

This was the one day we allowed to doing some shopping so we were amazed at how big and how nice it was here. There's plenty of shoe shops for my wife. a big choice of places to stop and eat from Mc Donalds to Spanish tasty nibbles. There's a huge supermarket that we spent ages in looking at all the variety here. Even a cinema. All under cover and kept cool with a/c. A must.

I live in Mallorca & although this shopping centre isn't the most modern (it opened in 1995) it does offer a very good selection of shops as it serves the whole of the south west part of the island. I am posting the floor plan so you will see the variety.
There's a ground floor & first floor, under cover as well as outside on the terraces.
Like most shopping centres these days (even the most recent which opened close to the airport) the majority of the shops are boutiques, shoe & handbag shops. These include a large Zara (newly expanded with Mens & Childrens' sections), Mango, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Cortefiel, Springfield, H & M, Etam, Geox & so on.
Apart from a huge Carrefour supermarket on the ground floor (which has all the other goods for sale other than food which are usually found in hyper markets) there are independent shops such as Expert for electrical & electronics, newsagents, mobile phone shops & Mullers, which is a German superdrug franchise. Very well organised, perfumery, household products, foodstuffs... you can look them up online.
One of my favourite places for a browse is Zara Home.
There are also a few useful places such as a key cutting shop & a dry cleaners with a good alterations service.
There are a few cafes inside the centre as well as a Haagen Daaz ice cream bar but outside there is also MacDonalds, Pizza Hut, Diabolitos & a Blockhouse steak house. On the outside terraces, there are a number of shops which people miss - the Deichmann shoe shop for instance, newly opened with a selection of affordable shoes not normally seen in the usual shoe shops here.
There's a multiscreen cinema here too but check carefully if films are original version with sub titles, sometimes the newspapers say they are when they aren't!
The centre has free parking for the first 2 hours & is open from 09.00 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday.
You can park easily in the shopping centre car park even if the centre is closed. Just across the road from the centre is a 24 hour pharmacy which is a really useful tip.

After many visits to this shopping mall i have noticed one major problem and that is of proffesional thieves operating in this mall. Numerouse people are having their purses and wallets stolen and all say the mall security is poor. I personally will be avoiding this mall until the mall management try to get a grip on these problems. Purses are being taken outof shopping bage when ziped closed and worn close to the person who the bag belongs to. My advice would be avoid this shopping mall until its sorted out

This mall is a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal. Has good restaurants, clothing stores and a large supermarket. A good place to buy water, food for your cruise. Some discount clothing stores along with some better quality clothing stores. More affordable than the shopping downtown.

This is a decent mall of some 150 shops on the outskirts of Palma. It's easy to get to - the regular no 3 bus is just one of some five or six services which regularly connect to Porto Pi and it has both ample car parking (first two hours free) and a massive cab rank outside, too.
It's anchored by a huge Carrefour which offers cheap prices and very average service and it also has the usual European range of shopping centre stores: Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull and Bear, Disney, Game Store. It also has a cinema.
Its main weakness is in its food offer which is depressingly fast food in style, though the Diablito restaurant tucked away at the back of the complex overlooking the harbour was a good find - cheap and tasty (though service was again poor). And its public toilets - unusually for Mallorca - were a disgrace.
Nonetheless, we like Porto Pi, and it's a good alternative for teenage children who don't want to do the 'culture thing' when it's raining!

I can't directly answer your question since I actually used my debit card to buy all my stuffs there. However, based on my experience, almost entire places I've visited in Europe (Croatia, Denmark, England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, etc.) they do dispense their own Currency. As they will simply do the necessary conversion from USD to whatever currency you wish to have. In addition, some ATMs add service charges as well.

Hi
I remember seeing a few Spanish brands like Mango; there were other stores selling casual clothing, jeans and summer clothing.
If you want to do clothes shopping then the town centre would better, there is a lot of options to cater for all budgets. I stayed at Hotel Almudaina on Ave. de Jaume III, there was a department store (men’s floor Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, etc), shoe shops, cosmetics shop on the road and within a few minutes’ walk, there were H&M and Massimo Dutti stores.
