The historic maritime trade exchange is a beautiful Gothic building with delicate columns and a fascinating vault. The building is located in the south of the old town, very close to the cathedral La Seu. A masterpiece of civil Gothic architecture in Palma.

La Llotja is a structure located near the seafront of Palma de Mallorca. Its Gothic construction is particular and makes it appear halfway between a small castle and a church. It was a place of trade and exchange for a long time.

Magnificent example of Catalan Gothic architecture. Evidently it was a fish market and was also used for general commerce given its proximity to the port. Later it was used as a warehouse and later as a cultural center. Admission is free and access is free.

My partner and I have visited Palma for many years. The whole place is fantastic day and night. Architecture, people. Majority of the buildings are beautiful. Well worth a visit. It’s the only reason I return to Majorca

Very impressive 15th Century Building, kept in Fabulous Condition, large open space with large spiral columns reaching right up to the Ceiling lots of detail above fabulous made Building. In the evening lovely up lighting really creates a stunning atmosphere. I would recommend a visit whilst in Palma. Outside there's a lovely little Italian to have a drink and take in the view.

An interesting medieval building. It's empty inside, but still interesting to see.
It is located near the marina

This little gem of 15th century architecture is in fabulous condition and free to visit. It is full of air and light and nicely explained in a small series of well placed placards in multiple languages. The surrounding area is winding, of considerable age, and full of artisan shops and restaurants.

We were on our fourth visit to Palma and in checking out new things that we could do there we noted that the Llotja building was very high on the Tripadvisor list of recommended 'Things to do'.

While it is only open part of the day, it would seem to close during 'Siesta hours' in the mid afternoon, it reopens in the early evening until about 10.00 pm?.

Truly beautiful building inside and out and so old! You might only visit for 20 minutes or so but it is well worth it - PS It is free to get in.
