About
Jewish Majorca was created to help preserve the Jewish heritage of the Balearic Islands by sharing with visitors and residents the many different sites connected to its Jewish past. By offering a walk and talk with members and friends of the local active Jewish community today – visitors get to see the past, present, and hopefully the future from another point of view. We strive to bring together members of the current local community from their many different backgrounds. Tours are offered in English, Spanish, Catalan and Hebrew.

Dani is warm and personable, tour is interactive and thought provoking, Dani points out hidden clues to the rich Jewish past of this Catholic town. The old quarter is well kept and has all the features of a medieval little town. The moving history of the hidden Jews here reflects the good times and the bad times the Jews had on Spanish soil from 1000 to 2000 CE. Highly recommend!

It was incredible to sit in my living room and feel like I was back in beautiful Palma, learning about a fascinating, and little known chapter of Jewish history. The series is beautifully shot and absorbing, and Dani brings his tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm to each facet of the tour. It was a great way to spend an afternoon- a virtual trip I would highly recommend to everyone interested in the history of this fascinating island.

Juan was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. His own personal story brought to life the history of the Jews of Spain /Mallorca. The cool streets of the Jewish quarter were a respite from the heat and full of stories, symbolism and tales from medieval times when the jews once flourished in this beautiful city . I would recommend for anyone with an interest in Jewish history

Dani really brought the past to life. He shared his wealth of knowledge in a very interesting way, explaining alternative theories where the facts are not conclusive. His exuberance and passion for the subject are completely contagious and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know more about Jewish history in this corner of Spain.

Juan will have you enthralled. This walking tour of the history of Jewish Mallorca (we did the 2 hour tour) is brought alive by Juan with his abundance of knowledge and enthusiasm. All four of us who took the tour couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Thoroughly enjoyed the new virtual Jewish tour of Majorca. Had planned to be there in person this month but not possible and this was an excellent substitute. Dani really brings history to life and is to be commended for his depth of research, the many interesting facts he shares and a truly engaging way of presenting such an important and never to be forgotten part of Spanish and Jewish history. I cannot wait to do the tour in person one day and walk the streets Dani brings to life in his fabulous virtual tour. Congratulations on a great production !

Are you kidding me? What an unusual and enlightening way to spend an afternoon in Palma. Dani is delightful, witty and has his timing down to a standup comic routine! Dani brings the extraordinary out of the sleepy side streets and little nooks of Palma and does so with such a wonderful historical context. If you want to have a wonderful few hours instead of wasting it shopping and buying things you don't need, take this tour.

Our family had a fascinating and insightful walking tour of Jewish Palma, led by Juan. We found streets in the old city of Palma which we would not otherwise have happened across and saw the "difficult to discover as a regular tourist" evidence of Palma's Jewish history as well as its Jewish present. All the time guided by a "real local" with a fascinating personal history of his family's heritage and his personal religious journey of a return to roots. In addition we were able to discuss local politics, demographics and current affairs! Thank you Juan and "Jewish Majorca" team. Juan even recommended and booked a local restaurant for our party after the tour finished (and it wasn't his uncle's place!!).

Dani is super passionate about the Jewish history and current status of the Jews in Majorca. His tour was very pleasurable and interesting. It was the highlight of our day. It was also great that he is a native English speaker and makes a great effort to connect with his audience.

This tour was amazing. Dani is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and really engaged in the local community. He showed us a side of Mallorca we did not know about. It was very interactive, fun and engaging and gave us a lot to think and talk about, something we do still up to today. Thank you for showing us this part of Jewish History and we can't wait to return and explore more of it. We couldn't recommend this tour more highly to anyone trying to do something very special during their stay on Mallorca.
