Definitely amazing views! We visited end of day, around 6pm so we caught a beautiful sunset and there were also less people which made it even more enjoyable. Watch out on the road there however if you get a little car sick!

The most hair-raising drive of our holiday but the views were worth it. Narrow and winding roads and it is usually very busy. Go early to avoid the traffic and the heat. At the light-house there's a car park but not too many spaces, so you might need to wait a little. There are superb views at the top.

The drive is exhilarating and the views divine. Many turns and lots of cyclists. Spectacular. It is busy and you might have to wait for a parking space. There is a small cafe and facilities. Great visit. Why would you not want to experience such a thrilling experience.

Ridiculously busy road that takes you to a lighthouse with a traffic jam to rival central London at the end. Best views at stops before beach at Barcello hotel and really not worth the effort to go to further to lighthouse. As for how scary the road is give me a break its not that bad.....try kefalonia in Greece if... More

It's a long and winding road from the beach at Formentor up to the lighthouse, but well worth it, along narrow, twisty but well tarmacam-ed roads passing through a short, dark tunnel at one point cut into the rock. Spotted a mountain goat complete with curly horns as we were approaching the summit. There are two parking attendants once you... More

The road that takes you up there is already beautiful, I recommend you stop on the beaches and lookouts that you find along the way. When you get to the lighthouse the most spectaculars are the views, there is a cafe and public toilets, also a parking.

I have driven the Amalfi Coast Road, the Hani Highway on Maui, driven in Ireland, Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and France, but the road to Cap de Formentor is without a doubt the scariest road I have ever driven on. That said, what is at the end of the road is well worth the clenched buttocks.... More

We were lucky to be staying at Port De Pollensa so were able to arrive at the lighthouse by 10:30am and easily park at the top. By 10:45am there was queuing traffic parking along the road. Because we left earlier there was hardly any other traffic on the journey up, I wouldn't really attempt it later on in the day... More

The long and winding road to the Cap de Formentor is a superb drive with magnificent views although the lighthouse itself has become something of a tourist trap. Even so, it is well worth a visit. Evenings are probably best after the tour buses have long departed. It is also worthwhile trekking down the old path that was used to... More
