This beach offers crystal clear water and powder white sand!Vendors often walk by selling anything from cups of fruit, to fresh coconuts, to sundresses. You can rent a lounge chair with an umbrella for about twenty euros. You can walk to a couple of nearby restaurants. It’s perfect to relax and watch the world go by, or have a swim and be active.

This beach is a must see if you are visiting Ibiza, it doesn't cost much to get the ferry and then you just need a short taxi to Ses Illetes, I have been to the best beach in the world (Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos) and I believe this is the closest you will get to it on a short haul flight. If you want a Caribbean beach and weather with a 2.5 hour flight then this is the place to go. It is very clean and spacious, make sure to pack food and drinks as there are no shops on or near the beach.

Best beach in Europe - crystal clear shallow waters, so warm in the afternoon that you can simply walk in. Go there early enough, park at "Es Ministre" and walk past the first and may be the second rock to find the best spots.
Avoid the restaurant, it is stupidly expensive.

If you’re staying in the Balearic Islands, it’s a must-go fo anyone. If in Mallorca, Minorca or Ibiza, take a ferry and reach this enchanted tiny island. You’ll find beauty anywhere you go, but this beach is special and spectacular. Nature dominates here so be respectful and avoid collecting seashells or coral remains.

After seeing this in Tripadvisors' Top 25 beaches in the World, had to post my review. Visited here a couple of years ago on a day trip to Formentera. At the time we were holidaying in Ibiza and took the excursion and really did not expect such a spectacle. Sat at the bar right on the beach with the comfy sofa chairs overlooking beautiful views. See photos.
Nice meal in the restaurant at far end of the beach. A little pricey, but feeling part of the 'Jet Set' was fair compensation!

Been visiting Formentera for nigh on thirty years, always in high season - the wife's a teacher therefore limited to school holidays. Because of the draw the island has for us, we keep returning year after year paying the high prices during July and August.
This year we managed to get a reasonably priced Jet 2 flight and made our own ferry, car hire and accommodation arrangements during the last week of October - school holiday week.
Despite almost everything being closed down we had the most fantastic and enjoyable week imaginable.
The best part was being able to sunbathe and swim every day on Illetas beach, one of the most stunning beaches in Europe. The weather was beautiful, 20 to 25 degrees c every day, the beach was deserted and the water was warm. It was simply idyllic.
We can only compare this to the scenes during August, when some days the beach is so overcrowded and popular people are turned away. We usually spend our time on the Levante beach, just a few metres across the peninsula, which is almost as nice but less popular.
It has taken us a long time to realise, but an out of season visit to this beautiful island is the way forward. Visit Illetas beach for the white sand, turquoise waters, panoramic views over to Ibiza and to view the spectacular yachts moored in the bay - but do it before or after the summer season. You will not regret it.

We were at Es Cavall d'en Borras and Ses Illetes, both awesome...! Both with crystal clear water and beautiful turquoise colors. Definitely a place to go when going to Formentera. Romantic no, the next best thing! We had just some hours to be there but they were worth it! Beautiful beaches! A must go!

This really is an idyllic spot, absolutely beautiful, but we have just come back from a visit yesterday and there were so many people and especially scooters, that it was a nightmare. The restaurant charged 8 euros for 2 cokes, because it can, scooters were having to queue for a parking spot, (don't even consider taking a car). Official sun beds covered most of the sand, so the beach looked the opposite of unspoilt. The vast majority of the sun worshippers seemed to be off the dozens of ferries coming in from Ibizia, wanting to go no further than the nearest beach. On the other hand, my daughter went off season and said it was one of the prettiest places on earth,; yesterday it was hell on earth.

I took a ferry from Ibiza for a day trip to relax and recoup from the partying inIbiza. The Ferry was 19€ round trip and took about an hour and 15 minutes each way. Once I arrived, I rented a bike for 6€ and rode about 20 minutes north on a bike trail to this beach. I was planning on doing some more sight seeing but was so impressed with the beauty of this beach that I stayed the whole time. The water was as clear blue as it could be and I swam out over my head and could still see the bottom! There were many people there, families, couples, and groups of friends. There was a restaurant bar nearby but I did not visit. It was a great way to spend a relaxing day and prob the best 25€ that I spent while visiting Ibiza!

The beach at Ses Illetes is probably lovely out of season, but in July there was barely a square foot of sand left to sit on. The sea is very shallow so ideal for kids, but you have to walk out quite a way if you want to swim. If you visit the restaurant at the near end of the beach be prepared to take out a mortgage - lunch for four of us came to over €200 and that didn't include the cost of the drinks while we were waiting for the restaurant to open (another €15).
We went just for a day trip from Ibiza, but I wouldn't do it again - there are plenty of other places to go where you don't get ripped off.

Hola!
¿me podéis recomendar alguna?
Si ya me recomendais algum restaurante para comer por allí cerca, lo terminamos de rematar :-D
Gracias mil!!

Hi, is it lively as keep seeing references to Ibiza which personally is my worst nightmare now being matured and having children!
Our perfect holiday is pretty, good beach which clearly is already a big tick by the looks of it, quiet relaxed, not too busy with tavernas and bars etc?
Thanks x
