The island if famous for its park and salt pond. We can not see birds here, but I love the white/salted nature here - it is so nice to see the peaces of salt glued and sparkle on the plants. Also I like that the people of the island protect the plants/animals with paths -you could go only on these... More

We didn't have too much time away from the port, but we walked around and it is really gorgeous spot.

This large nature reserve was declared a National Park in 2001 and is located in the northern part of the island of Formentera. It actually also encompasses the southern tip of Ibiza where salt is mined & the little islands that separate both islands. In Formentera, which we visited, it incl. the Es Trucadors peninsula w/ the beautiful ses Illetes... More

If you go out to El pupils along the side of the lake on route 3, you can then follow the road up to the turning up to Playa de ses illetas and return to the port by route 4. All on the flat, easy cycling without much traffic. The reserve is very tranquil with loads of birds and lizards... More

This place is just beautiful. There are many different beaches from small to very big. The water is crystal clear and deep blue to turquoise. You find at least 3 great restaurants - I also posted a review on TripAdvisor. We always go in October to Formentera, than you don't have to pay for entrance and parking. During high season... More

Expensive to enter and very very not. There is no shade really in this area. If you are going remember your umbrella if you are going on the beach!

It is very nice to drive around the reserve and you can see beautiful big white fields of salt. It is also possible to buy local products, such as salts with different flavours, chips, chocolate etc.

If you have more than a few days in the island go for it, it's worth a quick visit. But if your time is limited, choose all the other amazing attractions that Formentera has to offer.
