We were very pleasantly surprised by this new cathedral built at the beginning of the 20th century, but in Neogothic style, hence inducing the idea of centuries past. It even has gargoyles on their well-known places keeping evil spirits away. The cathedral is a very...More

Currently under reconstruction you can visit from crypt to rooftop with a guide and a hard hat. The tour takes around 1.5 hours and was the best visit of our time in Vitoria.

Had Christmas day mass here and really enjoyed it - very well preserved, good ancillary things to see (vestments of the priests from before) and just great atmosphere if you're a Christian and appreciate this kind of thing.

Interesting but modern and unfinished. Not the most interesting cathedral experience in Vitoria Gasteiz which is the Cathedral Ste Maria which is 14th century

This 14th century Gothic building will just take your breath away. Even though they have never finished it (inside you might see a model of how the cathedral suppose to look like) it is spectacular piece of architecture.

Surprising for foreigners this Cathedral which lays in the middle of a park area so that allows visitors to see its size. One of the biggest and newest in Spain. People in the village recall it "Catedral Nueva". New Cathedral, as in comparison with the...More
