Can, getting to know the city, its architecture, history and traditions, be interesting and not boring at all? Well, difficult, specially if we talk about San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) so beautiful city, that just see it leaves breathless. When I came to live to San Sebastian in 2006 I was totally impressed by the beauty of this town, however I did not discovered the soul of the city until I experienced the unrivalled city tour with Ikusnahi this summer. We have been walking around the city with Ania, who explained everything in such amazing and interesting way, natural and very funny at the same time! She left space for open discussion for you to begin to discover for yourself, in an imperceptible way, that you know the city more deeply, understanding the local culture and people much better.

Ok. It took me for ever to post it, but I finally have time since I cant go anywhere atm ;( We have been to San Sebastián in October last year. We took a tour with this almost unpronounceable company and it was so worth it! Ania and Ernes are the best! It was a very first time for us in Basque Country. Simply, excellent introduction to local culture. We started in gorgeous San Sebastian and it was fantastic. Our guide Ania took us around the city first in a van (thanks for that because the city has some high hills that we didn't feel like climbing after a long flight) and then walking. Ania not only shares her great knowledge but she is also lots of fun. We enjoyed listening to stories, learning about traditions & eating and drinking. Pintos are small delicious bites San Sebastián is famous for. Basques are so proud of their rich cuisine and now we know why. After finishing the tour we felt like we know the city are were confident enough to use local transport to explore more and more. Thank you Guys!!! Hasta one day!;)

I took the Aizkorri tour with Ernes today. Absolutely amazing experience. We had a great conversation about Basque culture, possible adventures and geopolitics. Ernes and his team travel a lot and they are very knowledgeable about food, drinks and adventures :) We also had a picnic made of local food. Delicious! I'm very happy I took this tour as without Ernes it would have been very very hard to get to this mountain on my own. I have hiked around Europe quite a lot and it's my goal to cross Pyrenees next year and Ikusnahi team gave me a lot of tips on the crossing as they also have a base in the mountains! I fell in love with San Sebastian and Ikusnahi Tour is a major reason for that! Highly recommended :)

We’ve done a number of great tours on our several trips to Spain but our recent tour with Ania was especially enjoyable. We were hesitating because of the COVID situation but it felt safe. Guethary and Hondarribia will stay in our hearts forever. In addition to her taking us to delicious cheese, seafood, sweets spots, Ania was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be with, generally. She gave us the confidence to step outside our food and drink comfort zone and just surrender to the foodie experience. I would recommend this tour and Ikusnahi in general (already have to a friend planning to visit Europe next year if the COVID situation allow him). It’s a great way to get to know the local culture. I highly recommend!
