The old town (Parte Vieja) is where San Sebastian was born about 1,000 years ago. The architecture is generally Neoclassical and uniform. Still, the grid plan of streets, hides heavy Baroque and Gothic churches, surprise plazas, and fun little shops, including venerable pastries stores, Bretxa...More

Right next to the Cathederal. Excellent selection of well kept beers. Friendly cosy place for a couple of local beers.

The old town has the features one expects to find in such areas . However in the case of San Sebastian the old town remains elegant and is lived-in by the locals . It isn't too touristy and retains much of its authenticity.

Very few local people will recommend for you to spend a long time in this tourist-heavy place. Of course. you must go here and you cannot leave without visiting. But know that there is a lot more to see in other districts of San Sebastian...More

The old town is totally pedestrian and located adjacent to the famous La Concha beach. The lovely streets are lined with bars, restaurants and shops. A must see in San Sebastian.

Offers shopping and loots of Restaurants, Bars everywhere. Spontanuous dancing in a square nearby. Visit the splendid Church with a very modern artinstallation from the year 2013 just like that.

As far as Old Towns go, it is not a big area but boy are there a lot of Pintxo bars. We spent many days and nights walking around trying out the Pintxo bars. It is like Pintxo Bar Heaven.

Anyone considering a trip to Spain should consider tincluding San Sebastián in their itinerary. Flight from Barcelona is inexpensive;. There are several pension houses in the Old Town that can accommodate a moderate budget.

Great places to eat there! I recommend "A fuego Negro" and "La cuchara de San Telmo" they are just amazing and very particular restaurants, each one of them in their own way. A Fuego Negro is a rebel, and it offers a great experience to...More

Hello, There is not problem at all. The whole city is a safe. Actually locals walk a lot and the streets are lively, busy, and completely safe. We didn't feel any kind of danger not even unpleasant people on the streets. The... More
