Wish I came here during summer season. I'm a Cypriot and I'm used to beautiful beaches but seeing this amazing beach and the ocean (even in winter season) is an unforgettable experience. Take your shoes off and walk along. ✌️
It is beautiful! Even in the winter time it's a pleasure to take a walk along this beach located in the heart of the city, it looks amazing. On the embankment there is a ferris wheel and some facilities for kids, and next the beach...More
Went to La Concha mid-November, visited San Sebastian for the marathon running event.
Not the warmest times of the year, cloudy with sunny spells but still a fabulous beach.
Quite long and very wide, decent paved promenade with beautiful sea views, well worth a visit.
celebrated silver wedding anniversary this year and thought where would the perfect place to be. Visited san Sebastian over 10 years ago and when I suggested it, hubby was very happy. Concha beach is one of the lovliest beaches I have ever seen, surrounded by...More
If you visit San Sebastian you can't miss this beach....it's the middle of the city. The first day here there were guys surfing right off the wall....but that was during a storm. Normally this is a very quiet beach with very little surf due to...More

We visited in early December and had perfectly clear weather with Ave temp of 15’ to 20’C. We didn’t go swimming but there were several brave souls who walked right in for a brisk swim at San Sebastien beach. The days prior to our visit were overcast and the mountains got snow, so we considered ourselves very fortunate to have such amazing weather for the three days we visited!
Does anyone know if sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the beaches of San Sebastion?

Supermarket/market close to La Concha beach (3 Replies)
Will be renting an apartment on Passeo Miraconcha in June. Any recommendation for a good place to get fresh produce and other food items. Thanks, P

You have a 'Todo Todo' shop very near you on Paseo de Miraconcha. This is a small supermarket which will be convenient for picking up items at short notice. Or there is a big hypermarket at the Garbara shopping centre on the outskirts of town. It is about a 10 minute drive and is accessible by bus too. In San Sebastian itself there is a Super Amara in the San Martín shopping centre on Calle Urbieta. Finally you have the Bretxa market at the eastern edge of the Old Town.
What to choose: Madrid - Valencia - San Sebastian (5 Replies)
My son (16 yr) and I are planning to go Spain in July 2010. We are coming from Amsterdam and like to stay for 7-8 days and then back to Amsterdam. We like eating, visiting cultural sites, shopping and relaxing / sitting in an outdoor cafe/terrace. For Madrid we like to stay in Puerta del Sol area, Valencia in Barrio del Carmen and for San Sebastian in Parte Vieja/Centro near La Concha Beach. Is it possible to do 2 cities in 8 days ? And to which cities we have to go ? And what is the best...More

I think you should do Madrid and San Sebastian, and fly between those two cities. San Sebastian in July is wonderful and a very relaxing stay there, where you can walk everywhere and have a good time. It is famous for its good food, because the Basque chefs are considered the best in Spain.
