4 of us took a day trip with IGO Paseos lead by Marcos Antolini to the lovely countryside around San Sebastián. We drove through old vilages, visited an old ice house in the hills, and climbed a hill with wonderful views and some amazing ancient dolmens, amongst other stops. Marcos took us across the border to the French town of St Jean de Luz and told us of historic territorial battles between the Spanish and the French. We finished with a drinks & delicious pintxos at a local bar. It was a fascinating day out, and Marcos was a great driver and guide.

We spent a wonderful day visiting Zumaia (breathtaking views of the coast!), Zarautz (where we visited the restaurant/hotel of famous chef Karlos Arguiñano), Getaria (where we ate the local fish delicacy “besugo”-sea bream) and Bodegas Ameztoi (where we sampled the delicious local wine, “txakoli”). Alex was an excellent guide; very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to all our needs. I would highly recommend San Sebastián Trips and Alex for any tours in the Basque region.

Alex with San Sebastián tours was the highlight of our trip to the Basque Country! He was so knowledgeable, patient with two young children, and fun! We left San Sebastián for a winery stop, the cliffs of Zumai, and explored Getano. Our family enjoyed spending the day with him and hope to be back soon to fish, hike, and explore more of this beautiful part of Spain!!

I spent a long time looking for a sailing trip out of san sebastian but they were all way too expensive. When I found Alex at san sebastian trips the price was half the cost of his cheapest competitor.
The trip was a whole day on the water. The weather was beautiful. Alex served a great lunch of pintxos. Alex was a great guide and was very knowledgable about the area. He spoke very good english. It was only my wife and I on the trip but the boat could easily accommodate a group of 6. This sailing trip was the highlight of our whole trip. It was worth every penny! I would do it again in a heart beat!

When I was coming through Spain, I was told I had to make a stop here. The first exhibit in the museum was incredible, but the rest were very underwhelming for such a famous museum. Some of the exhibits looks like photos of a town that were taken on an iphone. I was greatly disappointed and did not spend a ton of time here.

Our consummate host Alex gave us a personable overview of the Basque region during our four hour sailing tour. We had already fallen in love with San Sebastián but because of our afternoon together and with his expertise and knowledge at a local level we definitely recommend San Sebastián Trips. It is a unique experience way beyond the usual tourist sites! Don’t miss it!

We had the best day with Alex. We did a private French Basque Coast tour. Not only was it beautiful but Alex was full of information and also a lot of fun. Definitely one of the best tings we did while we were in Spain. I would highly recommend Alex for any of your tours while in San Sebastián. Such a wonderful experience.

We (two couples) spent two wonderful full days with Alex touring the Basque Country. One day on the French side and one in the Spanish countryside, culminating with lunch in Getaria. it was like being with family. Pick up and drop off at our hotel. The only way to go.

I did a lot of research and San Sebastián Trips was one of the most affordable that I found. Alex is very nice and professional. You see a lot and I think you get what you pay for. Make sure to bring Euro for extras.
